hmmm i got 294 hp running a HKS 2535 pumping out 17 psi on my R33 would there be a problem?

they said they max out at like 400hp so it sounds like you would be sweet

i'v got one on the way and i would only be pushing like hopefully 260rwhp when im finished getting everything i need so i should be sweet to hey

my mates soarer made 440rwhp on dyno with one walbro 255 and no problem in past 3 years.

In america the yanks (mostly supras and gto's, etc) absolutely love the walbros and dont even bother with bosch, these are big hp and big budget cars, they use like 4 walbros intank rather than going bosch or anything else. These guys run big workshops and swear by walbro on every car so why the bad name around here? Dont buy cheap ebay copy shit ones and you might be suprised :(

i used to love the walbro's but after having a spate of them unable to crack 200rwkw latley (last november) i have been sworn against them, 3 were bought from a large victorian speed shop and the other 2 from tweak it (probably all the same batch)

fitting 040's fixed the issue on all 5 cars.

Most people here on Okinawa run Walbro's with no problems. I have twin walbro's in tank and have had no problems for over a year now, and I ran a single one at over 400rwhp a couple of years prior to that. That pump is still in the tank along with another one. There has been a rash of the fake ones popping up though. A lot of reputable dealers get them to distribute and don't even know they are fakes from what I've heard.

    • Oh, also, forgot to add these photos I believe.
    • Thought i'd update on this. I was able to get in contact with Craig Lieberman and later on Darryl Alison (owner of Kaizo Industries). Darryl was able to help me verify that my car was in fact one of theirs and is helping me find more info on mine !
    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
