Well, Turbo do needs an aftermarket oil feed line Or you can modify the oil feed screws on the stock oil line. thats all it needed. Some custom made models do require water lines to be blocked, It is not in this case.

Our job is to high flow your turbo, We did that, Its working fine as it should, We did not carry out installation. We are not affiliated with next door mechanics. I recommended them to you as they've done few good jobs, and easier for me to get access to as your old turbo which needs to be removed, high-flowed and refitted.

It was a leaking cooper washer on the oil bolt, unfortunately it happened at the time when you pickup and there was no where to get a new cooper washers. So they had to make a washer that fixed the leak at the time. you've been told about this and asked to come back for assessment if it does leak or any thing goes wrong.

Any way after finding out about the oil feed restriction valve I've given you a braided oil to get installed at pertek as you got a service booked in. and that was BEFORE Protek worked on your car.

Any way be interested to see results after final tune. You need to work on your AUTO box first.

shit happens

when we installed my bush bearing turbo, with oil restrictor in modified line custom made (before hand !! pays to be ready), we annealed the copper washers and installed

oil pissed everywhere.......... obviously not good. shut off, tightened the washers as hard as mechanically possible, and all was good.

my tuner ended up replacing the washers, and altering the line again, when doing some headwork recently, but had been good for 2yrs before with a dodgy install.

shit happens, sounds like it wasnt all that bad (bar being dicked and dicked around) really and Hypergear says they helped out as much as possible? sounds like great service actualy !! just POOR service and dodgy work from the workshop "next door". dont use cowboys, only the best tuners.

oh, and 187kw at 10psi is awesome. r&r is hitting in so low as there is a huge amount of air being pushed around..... tune time with some sort of ECU mod :P

Yes Tao, Your service was excellent, please don't take anything the wrong way. I will recommend your turbos to anyone. Though as the mechanic suggested to you and myself, If you offer to arrange install and removal of the turbo, organise quotes for drive in drive out and so on, your duty of care lies not only in the supply of the turbo(which is excellent) but the installation as well. You did not hi-flow the turbo with your own hands, you sent it off to get done. If their as a malfunction with the turbo(i'm sure it never will) it is up to you to rectify the problem. I had recieved a quote through you at hypergear for the turbo and installation. I paid Hypergear not anyone else for the turbo and installation, therefore if their are problems with the installation it is hypergear that has to rectify the problem. In the future it might be best to recomend a workshop to get the turbo on off and ask the client to deal directly with them and not yourself. That way you can just deal with the high-flowing of your turbos.

But as i said tao the service by you at hypergear was excellent. Would have liked to know about the oil feed before driving it around but you did supply a new one for me which was fantastic.

So far 187rwkw at 10psi which is quite good. I will pop in and let you know how it goes after a nistune...

fark i would be happy with it on 10psi for a while haha... sounds like turbo from Stao, and i have heard many GREAT things about his level of service and how you are dealing with him only, not some random, but have heard one other not so good thing about the shop next door...

saving for turbo now haha

what is the response like compared to stock? what other mods do you have?

Stao- may i suggest getting a few oil lines made up too keep in stock at any one time, so as to reduce future issues :P

    • What an awesome idea to fit the facelift Lamborghini Diablo headlights. They are a perfect fit!
    • An update regarding the registration with the DVLA I sent off the paperwork the day after I collected the car from the port, two weeks later it was all returned with a letter explaining they have rejected the application. This was because the cheque was £20 short for the road tax (I used a price list I found online). Nevermind it is what it is, it was sent back to them the following day with a new cheque. Fast forward another 2 weeks or so, I called them for an update to be told it had been rejected. Yesterday (16th September) I received the documents back along with another letter, this time it was because I didn't put an X in one box on the V750 (personalised number plate certificate), which declared that I had the rights to the personalised number plate. Why this wasn't mentioned in the first rejection letter, I don't know, but it could have saved this headache. The documents were sent back today, so fingers crossed third times a charm and it'll FINALLY be registered on the road just in time for the bad weather (woohoo!) To cheer myself up I lowered the front 25mm, was sick of seeing it sit like a monster truck. No idea how much clearance I'll have getting on and off the driveway, I'll worry about that when I can actually drive it
    • You're going to miss not worrying about rust in the strut towers like the Skyline shitboxes out there
    • A few little updates that weren't filmed due to not taking long to do or not interesting enough for their own video. My new K&N Air Filter arrived, I went with an RU-4180 which matched the dimensions of the universal cone filter the car originally had.  The battery had gone flat, while that was charging I tidied up the spaghetti wiring at the bulk head and down the sides of the engine Next job was to swap the stereo The Kenwood harness had the female ISO plugs cut off and the male ISO plugs cut off the adaptor loom and joined with bullet connectors. I ordered in a repair loom through work and re-did it all. New Kenwood unit installed (Android Auto, DAB, Bluetooth, Reverse Camera) The bonnet/hood gas struts have been poor since collecting the car. I couldn't find any suitable replacements locally so took a chance on a pair from AliExpress.  The originals don't use a retaining clip to secure the cup onto the ball fixture, would explain why I struggled for 10-15mins trying to pry off the cups. The ball fixtures unscrew using a 12mm spanner, new ones are the same size. Sadly no photo of them fitted, you're not missing much lol The dished Momo steering wheel got replaced with my Momo Tuner, turns out I ordered counter sunk bolts for the horn trim ring (like they normally are for the steering wheel) instead of allen cap (flat seat)  A terrible photo of a Quaife style gear shift knob I've had stashed in my tool box for many years after purchasing the incorrect thread size (I can see a pattern emerging with ordering incorrect parts...) Also threw in a cup holder and a (empty) Boss Coffee can, because why not
    • GT-R clearly the better choice! The 300 is certainly not insaly fast but has a decent amount of poke. Does a nice little drift around the corners with a decent amount of throttle. It's VERY predictable in a slide too.  Feels so progressive! People probably presume there's a 25 year old driving it based on my behaviour this week! 🤣
