well i think u all need to have a teaspoon of cement and harden the f**k up hahaha...

its not that warm... nothing like abit of sweat! good for weight loss

yeah i agree with u Adrian "harden the f**k up"...haha

i had to ride my push bike 14km's to work today and will be the rest of the week until my gearbox is fixed

then again my dark skin is used to the heat and doesn't bother me at all

+1 i'm loving this weather! You guys all forget every year its like this, why don't you go live in tasmania if ya want to be cold all the time!!

^^^ I can't agree with that enough.

The amount of people I meet all day whingeing about the weather - this sort of weather is what Adelaide is all about.

So many people love winter - it makes me sick - give me 45 over 14 and raining any day of the year!

I am absolutely loving the current hot spell!

And no, before anyone asks, I wasn't in an a/c office at all today - I was out in the heat and in my black[/] Skyline (which did struggle a little bit with the heat when I was sitting around idling for 10 minutes at a time). The twin thermos do a great job, but I must admit were lacking a bit today. Nothing a quick squirt of water on the radiator didn't fix every now and then (I keep around 20l of water in the boot for such occasions).

Bring on more hot weather!!!!!

I agree with that as far, but gimmie 45degrees then rainy summers nights with the full summer thunderstorm

*sigh* i miss full on torrential rain

the kind that starts with a crash, speaks as a roar from an angry god, and the afterechoes and tears from the heavens continue to course through the earth

yeah. i want.

-D

Only another 6 days of it though (or so they say). Must admit nothing better than working on the car with the sweat running off you quicker than you can replace it!

And you know its bloody hot here when Roxby only got to 44 today!

^^^ I must admit I did love living on the 7th level of an inner city apartment building in the centre of Darwin for nearly a year around 2000 - sitting out on the balcony watching the storms roll in over the Timor Sea .... absolutely awesome light shows!

Then when the storm got closer running inside and battening down the 'hatches' (louvre windows) as the rain hit the windows at the back of the balcony half way up.

i dont mind the heat i was in the shed most of the day fixing the aircon fan under the dash on my son's vt . had half the dash out new fan put in place and the dash back together . was sweating like a stuck pig lol .

got to admit walking back into the aircon house felt good :-)

Beach is a good idea...however i don't want my car keys stolen...i don't trust them in a bag on the beach with me 50-100m away in the water. I sure as hell ain't walking there in this heat from my place. I have a temp sensor inside the house...35 degrees according to it.

lol drive the car on the beach near you. i do all the time just dont park too close to the sea or a rougue wave will ruin your day.. i hear them at night , big splashes all of the sudden.

and i love the wild life the heat brings out too. skimpy is good..lol

    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
    • I also used NP   That’s were it’s seems to be the best place to fit it? All schematic shows also that it’s should be referenced from the turbo housing. But idk, I do see high hp cars without any connection or anything to their turbos, so I really don’t know how they connect their things
    • I do have loctite 243 and 246 and a few more models. I could drill it now in place and make new threads for m12 and order an4 - m12 coupling and fit that to the turbo. Run a braided hose to the EBC which I could get a an4 to 1/8npt
    • So M12 and sealant should be fine?    NPT ” because that’s what I had and what I could get atm.
    • Wouldn’t touch par if they gave it to me. You need to ask how much power you’re looking to make and then add about 50% to it because that’s what you’ll end up making  The factory box says no more at about 350kw or so, the upgraded synchro boxes won’t handle much over 500kw for long and at that point you’re looking at an auto or dog engagement manual,  once you’ve gone dog engagement you may as well go sequential, they cost a little bit more but it’s worth it  also while you’re at it you should upgrade the transfer case with 10 friction plates
