Had the 100k service done at Boostworx yesterday, belts, water pump, all fluids, diff, gearbox, attessa, brakes etc. I did my own oil and oil filter so that wasn't needed. They also fixed my dodgy front/dump pipe install and reseated the O2 sensor properly (didn't quite go all the way in before due to wrong thread on JJR's pipe). Car is now running like new, purring along beautifully, gear changes are much quicker and smoother. Couldn't be happier. If anyone has been putting it off, do it, do it now, worth every cent! They also put it on the dyno, 135rwkw. Total cost incld. 3 new bulbs, $1050.

Just thought I would share. :D

EDIT: Forgot to add that they changed the plugs too (supplied by me)

I'm a huge fan of Shaun, Troy and the guys at Boostworx.

Took my GTR there for it's first service + 100k stuff. Had it dyno'd and everything. Got it back and it ran alot better!!

Just recently got a brake upgrade done by them, too.

And will soon be back for more work!

Yep mines a RS4 (AWD) but their dyno is only 2wd so they dropped the shaft. Shaun mentioned 135rwkw is normal for the minor mods mine had, with all running well. Shaun and Troy have a couple of new guys there too, another mechanic (Andrew?) and an aprentice mech (Alex?). Both good blokes.

They're still pretty busy but at least it's not that long a wait to book it in now! What I like about them is I don't have to worry about them ripping me off, they'll only do the work required and charge accordingly. A bit of a hike from where I am (Payneham) but well worth the trek. I only wish they have eftpos! Cash only hurts the bank like crazy. :D

my stags going in on the 3rd for its 100k... lookn forwood to seeing what it pulls..

there doing my 100k, ebc and safc install and tune for 1800.

im guessing its a little diff for the 26... im thinking i might try and get my hands on all the stuff and just get them to do the labour part.

my gf's brothers 180sx is their waiting to have the rb20 wired up, auto elec quoted 3k, boostworks quoted 500!

Mines off getting serviced at Road & Track... theyre close to my place (Enfield)

Getting all fluids dumped, flushed and replaced

Getting all filters replaced/cleaned

Getting new sparkplugs, injector seals and injector clean

Getting diff seal tightened, brakes checked, dyno run

Dunno if there was anything else that needs doing (they'll call me) but I can't wait... come on 5pm

What are they charging?

I won't know until i get the car back, but around the $600 mark.

Got car back. Loads of stuff done today....

New Globe, oil and fuel filters, air filter cleaned, NGK platinum plugs fitted, new diff oil, new brake fluid, new steering fluid, new hicas fluid, new engine oil. 3 leaking injector seals replaced, injectors sonicly cleaned, tyres rotated, rocker cover retensioned

came out to just over $700 :)

BUT

I have to now

replace front rotors, replace front brakes, replace LH Rear crossmember bush, remove radiator and get it completely flushed out, leaking injector replaced, and 2nd hand r33 gtr gearbox fitted. Probably gonna cost me over $1500 including parts but I don't skip so I'm gonna grab new RDA slotted front rotor and get some bendix ultimates to replace my current ones cause I'm pretty happy with them....

then (if I get my contract renewed) get some 2860-7's, nismo FPR, tomei poncam-b, hks cam gears and a radiator shroud purchased and fitted at the same time I get my n1 water pump installed :)

Fun. but not for my wallet.

    • Hi guys, long time no post as per usual! It's been a busy year so far, the biggest thing being a new job.  After 28 years in the automotive industry I decided it was time for a change.  I was losing faith in the industry and where it's heading.  Now in a completely different industry (electrical) working for a company that manufacture water pump contollers.  Not as sexy as cars but it's an interesting,  challenging industry. I now don't work Saturdays which is a bonus!  It's still 50-55 hours a week but having Saturdays ack after 28 years of working them is awesome!   No news on the GT-R but i did decide to add some more JDM goodness into my life....           1990 300 ZX.  She's not perfect but for a 35 year old car she ain't bad!  Just going to tidy it up a bit and enjoy it.  It's currently auto but will start stockpiling everything for a manual swap. It WILL distract me even further from the GT-R but im hoping not for too long! It somewhat proves a 6'8" freak can fit in a 300 ZX.  Sort of...  I drove it home from the previous owners house in Melbourne via Black Spur and Merton Gap (2 awesome bits of Victorian twisty road) and it was amazing!  Handles so well!!!   I don't think it would be worthy of a full build page but I'll post up some of the upgrades here if anyone is interested?  Cheers guys!
    • End game is to: - Remove all the slop from old worn parts - Adjust setup so that the wheels actually fit and the car is drivable (currently it is not because of the extreme rubbing on the guards).   Progress over the last couple of days, removed the rear hubs! Next steps: - Buy bushings - Replace bushings/bearings on hub - Reinstall
    • Cracked deck  And other cam snap stuff
    • A few random issues have popped up since my last update. My WMI pressure sensor failed within about 10 minutes of it seeing liquid. It was a 20$ China special, so I'm not surprised. My name brand replacement should arrive today.  My power steering assist also decided to crap out last weekend. The usual, works for about 60 seconds after starting the car then I lose it. I dusted off my old copy of NDS and connected to the HICAS ECU. Code 4 for assist solenoid.... I tested the solenoid and it's fine.  I knew the day where my HICAS ecu would crap out would come, and I welcome it. It was the last HICAS part on the car that is now in the bin. I've ordered an SSR and I will control the power steering solenoid with my Haltech ecu. It will be nice to have proper speed referenced assist again after all these years.
