just wondering if there is any way of being able to use r34 gtr fenders on a r34 gt. (non turbo) without having to change the bonnet and front bar.....

would it just be a matter of alot of fabrication to make them fit at all?

nope, it requires the front bar also, which requires a bonnet and all associated hinges etc...

JSAI do z-tune front guards for the 34 gtt that bolts up straight to a factory kit though, but im not sure how he is going with production etc...

I would like a set of these myself, but there is also the chance that it will look odd having wider front guards than rear

hmmm bugger....i was hoping there would be a way round it so i wouldnt have to get the GTR bonnet etc

thats ok i got some others fenders that i like that are made to fit the GTT so might just get them, i dont want to have to get the GTR bonnet n stuff.

thanks heaps

what front guards are they, i wouldnt mind a different set to the stock ones

looks like NZMO had this modified?

looks like a GT-R or simillar bumper & bonnet but with the rear quater pannel you can easily tell the car is an R34 GT-T

yeah indeed, although not for much longer, going the rear quaters soon.Just waiting on the shipment from japan

ive found a nice bonnet that i wouldnt mind getting at one stage lol but its not gtr tho

Ztune or Top secret style bonnet?

best bonnets available for R34 IMO

hey dude, where you getting the rear 1/4s from & how much are they.

will these still allow to use the GTT side skirt & rear bar?

i know viva have a set but you will need GTR rear bar and skirts to complete it.

i can see your car is very nice........a good example of an exterior mod....

but what i dont understand is....what is the purpose of it? as in creating a fake GT-R?? or trying to make it into something that its not?

no offence.....wana hear ur side of it...

No offence taken, I have done this to have a bit of fun/enjoyment with my car.I'm infact going to be getting an R34 V-Spec next year, for now I'm having fun with this project,i'm currently about to put the MFD into the GTT.It's only money.......enjoying life.

dont you enjoy looking a nice looking car? no matter if its a real gtr or not? if it looks good it looks good, whats wrong with creating a fake GT-R not everyone has the money to buy a 34GTR + insurance + rebuilding and all the other costs that comes with it.

what is wrong with the current car if it looks practically like a GTR to the untrained eye?

since your gonna have a MFD and possibly look into putting an RB26DETT...

why doesnt it still satisfy you?, since your probably just missing out on AWD, ATTESSA & HICAS...

thats true.......but with all the money spent.............on a standard r34 GT-T..... with all conversions....

youd probably be better off in the long run to actually buy an R34 GT-R?

because its fun to do and a great hobby expensive sure but pure enjoyment of doing it, im nearly 40 and still enjoy tinkering with these things , i did similar some years back with my R33 i had.

I originally was going to buy the R34 GTR V Spec when i got this GTT but to be honest there is not much styling mods id change on the R34 GTR as i like it as it is ,where as with the money i saved buying the GTT it allowed me to have some fun with the car, simple really.

When i pick up my 34 GTR next year i will then focuss money under the hood rather than styling.

lol never too old eh? not alot of 40 yr olds think that way ...

well Ive always thought it just always thought it was wrong to create a fake GT-R.

i can understand GT-T and GTS-ts sticking on GT-R kits cause stock wise they look pretty terrible if u ask me.... but when they start sticking on GT-R badges..thats when i thought it was wrong.

yes not just the GT-R....cars like EVOS, STI etc look really good stock......every single part on the car... makes it look genuine and makes it for what it is.......

but when people put aftermarket kits...it makes it look somewhat..."cheap" ........and something that GT-T, GTS-T and GLI lancer people do..... cause in stock form as mentioned...just nothing on those cars actually look right.......

but anyways thats my opionion...

once again great car, you should post up more pics...

very good example!

    • HFM BM57 has a "bad" knee point, IIRC. It's not the same thing as the later R chassis MC.
    • The ATTESSA is functionally identical to R34; there were a bunch of JDM models that continued ATTESSA including Fuga/Q70, Skyline/Q50, Cima etc as an option. All with Auto only and I think mostly for snow regions. AFAIK there were no AWD VR30DDTT sold in Australia - it is on my to do list to check regs for racing a LHD car in Targa/ATR/AASA/CAMS events because if I can get the auto to work it would be interesting to run a 4wd car The Ecuteck TCM tuning is the same model as their ECU tuning, they already have it for R35 and Dose's favourite, BMW. You buy "points" to allow your computer to be tuned, buy either a bluetooth (phone app) or bluetooth+USB+Key (phone and PC) dongle, and pay for a tune that will be locked to your tuner ( ). You can also access the tuning software yourself but 1. it is mega expensive and 2. these computers have a billion parameters that intersect, so how could you ever spend enough time on it to get a decent result.
    • Or, is it a case of what it is like owning an R series Skyline? NFI what the previous owner has done or fiddled with... Ha ha ha After reading through this thread, I went on a bit of a research about the Q50/Q60. Now I'm quite intrigued by them! Is the AWD in them more like a WRX where it's always AWD, or is it more like the ATTESSA in the GTRs? By the sound of this TCU tuning, this sounds like a case of someone has made some real software for it, and you just need the right piece of hardware, and then you license that specific vehicle/TCU. Or is this a case of the software will be really expensive so only a few tuners have it, and you still have to pay a license per vehicle?
    • By popular demand.. it was a coil. Got my hands on 1 new OEM coil, replaced with the one that made the less noise difference when I unplugged it while the car was running and started the car up. No stutter and the engine light was gone. I guess I’ll buy the other 5 they have lol
    • No, code 21 is very straightforward. It can only be the things described in that diagnostic flow. In fact it has no way of knowing that the spark plug resistance is out of spec.
