its the wheels on the nur.. the shadow type chrome and the few skinny spokes dont suit the colour or the shape of the 34 like a fat flat 5 spoke does.. and the ride height makes a huge difference.

he needs to get some work meisters or ssr professors with black centres, or millenium jade.

That and some side skirts... the rest of the car sits up so high with the dual front lip on there!

Yeah the Nismo side skirts and rear pods make a big difference to how low the R34 GT-R looks. Made a big difference to Terry's black R34 GT-R like Bakes', and Eugene's R34 GT-R as well. From what I hear it was a real pain trying to match up the Midnight Purple III already on Eugene's car with the side skirts so it would look the same from every angle. Also bloody expensive, that paint

Looks like a great cruise guys, awesome pictures of awesome cars.

Wish I could have been there, even with just my GT-T. But hey, I'll make the 20th Anniversary cruise! (if petrol allows that is)

Ian and dori those are some GREAT pics!!

Dori +1 to your car. Looks very nice!! Sorry about your front bar! It JUST scraped the pavement when parking.

Bakes I can't stop looking at pics of your car, it's bloody sexy as. Something about the black!

The three black gt-r's I remember on the day looked very good - Terry's, Che's, and Gordons.

hey XMETAL your photos are so good!!!

the photos pin point exactly what ur meant to be looking at!!

Honestly im normally a very critial person but cant fault ur pics

one word PERFECT mate

keep the good work up!!!!!!!!

Well I made it half way there and then decided it was too damn cold and returned home. Although it was about 1:30pm and didnt even know if you'd all be around. I am sure sad i did not bring the weapn to play.

Top marks for effort the organisers have made! Cant wait till it happens again in 5 more years :)

Some more trivia...

* The Value of the Hardware on Show was over $3.25 million

* Kyoshi Hans cut/sliced his own Kimono during his demonstration. Cost? Over $400

* Despite being a fine but windy day, some of the local trees got an unexpected watering

* Narelle and her partner with an R34 GT-R got lost & had to call me 2X. First from Hawkesbury Lookout & next from Mt Tomah.

If they PM me, I have a Booby Prize of 1X R34 GT-R Keyring. The condition is that they own up to their sins on this forum first! hehe

PRICELESS :) It was me ! Dont blame the simple central coast couple :(
PRICELESS :) It was me ! Dont blame the simple central coast couple :)

OK  You're both FORGIVEN!

PM me with your address and I'll send you the R34 GT-R Keyring! Might even be able to arrange a Certificate too with My Wording hehe :) Then no-one can laugh too loud at a Booby Prize eh?

Great to meet you both, Aaron & Narelle. Hope you can see some pics of your car on this thread!

Thanks to Terry and all the guys who's efforts made Sunday a really fun day.

Thanks Ariella and Aggroman (Dave)!

It was so much easier to have team members filling in gaps, coming up with feasible ideas & laugh over the silly ones.

We only needed 1X Organiser's meeting and 2X Recon missions

I'll not forget either the input from Raf and Vikash that had to retire along the way.

Some of us were able to think laterally and others vertically.

There are some things we could have done a bit differently (like having feminine input for instance) - but we learn from those.

Who could imagine that most of us didn't even know each other 2 months ago! WOW!

And then, IT TAKES PEOPLE LIKE YOU TO COME ALONG AND MAKE IT ALL WORTHWHILE

I don't know what it is about Bakes car, but it just looks absolutely gorgeous!

Even more so the Daves Nur spec! (I'm glad he's never on here, he'd kill me :))

Good to see he got a new lip on after he lost the original at Bathurst.

I think it's just the black and the wheels. Great car Bakes

    • Yeah I've had too many issues with knock off's on the BMW's. I don't want to do a job twice or more because the parts are shit.
    • I read this and thought "ah! I will do this scissor jack on the tow point thing!" I just use my floor/low profile/costco jack and lift the car up by the tow hook itself, then slide jack stands under. Never thought about using scissor into floor jack combo :p
    • Well, my new WMI system took much longer to finalize. I actually missed my dyno appointment last Friday and lost my 150$ deposit. I'll be going back in the next week or two.  To sum it up. I only kept the AEM tank from my old setup. I replaced the AEM pump with a higher flow/pressure ProMeth 30GPH pump. I also swapped over to a 6AN low pressure feed line to the pump from the tank. There's also a pressure switch you cannot see on the pump high pressure line.    This is feeding 6x 200CC direct port nozzles and 1x 500CC Pre Throttle body nozzle. All fittings are Swagelok, because well why not. I also have a 300PSI pressure sensor up front.    I now have my Haltech ECU controlling everything. I start my pump with a basic relay at 5PSI and deadhead it. I then PWM a 3000CC methanol Injector to control flow starting around 10psi. The pressure switch in the trunk, along with my tank level are safeties before I ever get to 10PSI, and then I use my pressure sensor upfront as a secondary safety to cut the WMI and corrections in case the injector blocks or a line ruptures.  Wish me luck on the dyno!
    • So, I'm back with bad news. There's no jack long enough on this planet that will reach the front subframe. If by some chance there is, it would weigh 200lb's.  I purchased a long reach jack... The damn thing weighted 120lb's and was massive. Didn't even come close, was still short at least a foot. It was a pain, but I brought it back. Next I decided HA! No problem, I'll get an Extra long reach jack. Well, I couldn't lift the box... It must have weighed 160LB's and luckily there was an open box in store. I took measurement and was still nowhere close.  Sadly I've lost hope and have accepted defeat.
    • Thanks for that tip, niZmO_Man. I think the battery is OK. It's quite a new one, but I'll check. Last time I needed a new battery, everything electronic was fine, except that there wasn't enough current to turn over the starter. I decided to order one of the partial AV system translation CDs from Car Audio Workshop in NZ. That might have some effect, or help me diagnose the date problem. 🤞
