As you might know , my rb26 has spun a bearing.

i have replacement parts to fix it but my only problem is getting the engine out of the car and doing it myself.

seeing as im really low on cash i was wondering if anyone could lend a helping hand to help me rebuild the motor.

ill happily pay you for your services etc but my main priority is getting my car back on the road as i dont have a daily.

any help will be greatly appreciated !

Don't forget you will need to get the assembly balanced as well. I'd also just the bore a light hone.

FOOLBOOST & Myself are pulling the engine out and pulling it apart and getting everything that is going in the motor put in professionally :)

Depending on the severity of the mechanical dis-symphony - you'll have bearing material through your turbo bearings too. Make sure you fully clean out your oil coolers etc of any bearing material - it gets everywhere, trust me been there got the t-shirt.

Listen to Andrew, take his word as gospel. He knows his shit.

P.S. Cheers again Andrew for all your help :(

yes i know this

just my car is a pain in the arse and is a big regret to me :D

want it fixed so i can enjoy it again :)

Turbo's will be fine providing you didn't drive it too much once she started knocking.

You will have to replace the oil pump though.

Cheap RB30E bottom end, shove a washer from the rb26 oil pump in to the rb30's std pump to bump up the pressure a little, block the rear oil restricter, 2 low tensioners suitable cam belt, cheap headgasket and it will be fine while you spend some time getting the rb26 built back up. :)

+ you'll get to experience a little rb30 wrath. :(

FOOOOLBOOST has done rb30 stuff before so he will probably make the same recommendation.

    • That's why I said it is a meaningless term. Because there is more than one meaning that people can apply to it. When we said "highflow", that is exactly what we mean, and exactly what is done. In a highflow, they take your housing and machine them out to take bigger wheels, have a better internal profile, etc etc, and fit a new core with the different/better/bigger wheels.
