I think I read somewhere that flyspray can remove tar from paint work. Would probably work on deadener as well.

Get the bulk of it out with a scraper, then treat the residual with the flyspray, and lots of rags.

I did my car with dry ice when it frose I hit it with a hammer it came straight off a littel clean with terps and it comes up like new. BOC is the go.

It's just for the boot Troy. I removed the surge tank in the boot and some fuel leaked on to the tar stuff and it looks messy.. so i want to strip it and paint it. It's purely for cosmetic reasons I'll only be running 300rwkw at philip island anyway.
