Inner West Crew Whoretown (toowong/st Lucia/kenmore/indooroopilly And Sometimes Sunnybank?)

Gtr has one turbo back on. Spent yesterday chasing parts an fixing the motorbike. Should have it back together Saturday i reckon maybe. Apart from one O2 sensor.

Spent a few hours pulling all of the interior out of a s3 ti today to put into the wagon. Only problem I can see is that the won't work with a ca20 and that the rear and front light plugs etc won't work on the pintara. Conections for the lights are east to change.. I think. And for the other problem I'm pretty sure I need to invest in a 30 for it.

Week has been super unproductive.

Kids been sleeping crap so motivation is at an all time low.

car has been sitting in the driveway for the last four weeks undriven, as it doesn't have a bonnet.

On the upside, my black ops kill to death ratio has been steadily improving over the past four weeks

anybody know of a r32 gtr front reo for sale. struggling to find one locally

may have to get one from adelaide.

option one had one there on a HCR32 nose chop. may pay to ask.

In a great end to the year my gearbox may be going the way of the dodo :(

After a little spirited driving this arfternoon it suddenly decided to put its self into "safe mode" or whatever it's called. 3rd gear only and the A/T light was up on the dash. Pulled over quickly, turned her off and let her sit for a little while. Struggled slightly when starting her back up, bit of a lurch and was back idleing like normal. Was a bit cautious on the way home.

Major sadface, can't afford an expensive mechanical issue, I wanted to buy an S13 in a couple of months.

Happy New Year Everyone!

Time to get our Go Kart date sorted. I can do after 1030am every Saturday and after 1130 on Sunday. If those time are fine, I'll call and secure a slot for us this coming week.

just watched Martins wrap up video, I really need to get my richness issue sorted out! At least I can accelerate under the cover of my smoke screen though, stealthy.

yep you have a bit of a smoke screen happening there :)

bunnings = win. looks like they have started selling pallet racking. bought two big racks and a lot of shelves. now my messy garage is now tidy :)

    • If you take the top half of the intake off you can unbolt the flap off the shaft and leave the shaft in there blocking the hole. Then you can remove the little vacuum canister off from under the manifold and get a spare vacuum line to run to the ECU. I can take some photos of it later. Probably best to get the vacuum source to the ECU sorted first though. Mine all worked mint with the base map from the GTT an I've pretty much let the closed loop sort the fueling and took 1 degree out of the whole timing map.
    • This IS something you also have to configure in Haltech (or at least I did in the past when going from onboard-to-ECU map sensor and an external MAP sensor in haltech land).
    • I'm hoping it's something as simple as the ECU is looking for an external MAP sensor, but he is trying to use the onboard MAP sensor.
    • You won't need to do that if your happy to learn to tune it yourself. You 100% do not need to do that. It is not part of the learning process. It's not like driving on track and 'finding the limit by stepping over the limit'. You should not ever accidently blow up an engine and you should have setup the ECU's engine protection to save you from yourself while you are learning anyway. Plenty of us have tuned their own cars, myself included. We still come here for advice/guidance/new ideas etc.  What have you been doing so far to learn how to tune?
    • Put the ECU's MAP line in your mouth. Blow as hard as you can. You should be able to see about 10 kPa, maybe 15 kPa positive pressure. Suck on it. You should be able to generate a decent vacuum to about the same level also. Note that this is only ~2 psi either way. If the MAP is reading -5 psi all the time, ignition on, engine running or not, driving around or not, then it is severely f**ked. Also, you SHOULD NOT BE DRIVING IT WITHOUT A LOAD REFERENCE. You will break the engine. Badly.
