Inner West Crew Whoretown (toowong/st Lucia/kenmore/indooroopilly And Sometimes Sunnybank?)

I am strongly considering it as I am keen to take the GTR on numerous small runs to make sure no terrible mistakes were made in putting it back together!

South Australia at the start of April... Happened at a hill climb event...

Went over the finish line, hit some dirt/gravel, flipped and caught on fire...

Being in a car that flips over then catches on fire is probably the worst thing that can realistically happen for most motorsports (i mean, things like hillclimbs, time attack, etc). Would be a hell of a scary situation.

I'd take water over flipping and fire any day of the week. Unless you have a VERY difficult car to get out of I'd say your chances of survival are higher in a splashdown, more time to react. Both are terrifying situations however.

Upside down, on fire and in the water however...

The one that always has me on edge even watching are the crazy cliff drops on the outside of many European Tarmac rally's or events like Pikes Peak. That's a damn long way to fall with nothing but skill stopping you going over.

    • Nah, turn the boost up, break the gearbox, and enjoy leaving it parked for a few years while you save for a better box...
    • I see those two Stageas have the "punched 40mm hole" deregistered Japanese number plates 👍 Nice kouki group shot with the different colours too.
    • Ended up just being a loose exhaust bolt luckily.
    • Yeah I made that post way too early, sorry I must have assumed it was bad because it's a 20+ year old thrashed shitbox lol. It was just a loose exhaust bolt.
    • Like others have said, drop the power to give your drivetrain a % of reliability until you can up the drivetrain reliability  It isn't rocket science, build power to the weakest link with a % of safety Whilst upping the the reliability of the drive train is costly, there's no point in having the engine make big power if it keeps eating the drivetrain....ask me how I know, I had the tow truck on speed dial for a few years, and I spent huge amounts of money fixing issues and breakages that really would have been cheaper in the long run if I did it right the first time Me, I like a nice sized fudge factor, that keeps me off the tow truck
