SAU members are welcome.

It's a great opportunity to see how your quick your car runs, in a safe & friendly environment.

It is not uncommon for people to have 30 to 40 runs (if you and your car are up for it!)

Cost is $200 per primary driver; $50 secondary driver.

- ALL this money goes to WSID

Day capped to 50 cars max, secure your spot asap please!

Key points:

* No cars quicker than 11.00ET allowed (WSID rule for private days)

* Drivers expecting to run quicker than 12.00ET require ANDRA licence (we can help, just ask).

* Normal WSID street meeting rules and regulations apply

* Bring civil drivers/ANDRA licence, long pants/sleeves/shoes and approved helmet

* Gates open 8am, scrutineering until 10am

* Racing from 10am to 4pm, short break for lunch

* Drivers, crew and spectators enter via WSID competitor's entrance

* 2 crew and 3 spectators per driver (free admission)

* There will be a spectator area available, children welcome

* No alcohol or glass bottles inside WSID please

* WSID terms & conditions will be posted in due course

A $100 deposit will be required to secure your spot.

Send me a PM if you are interested, thanks :)

Are people honestly prepared to pay $200 for drag racing, even if you get 40 passes it only equates to 5 minutes of track time, a bit rich i think. why not run more cars and pay less money.

John Bostons Track Day at OP guatantees 40mins of track time for the same price...

Hi Guys,

spots are filling fast (30+ taken in one day!)

If you are keen send me a PM. You will need to pay a $100 deposit to secure your spot.

I will provide details via PM.

Cheers.

Short answer is YES!

Have you ever been to a Wednesday Night Eastern Creek Meeting?

It's usually 1 hour in between runs.

There is no comparison.

Private days are a fun day with as many runs as you can take! You will be exhausted at the end of the day.

10x better experience, and well worth it.

They were fun...until we rocked up with a couple of sub 10sec cars, a few drops of rain, they (WSID staff) called it off, tried to stooge us of our cash and then changed the rules so sub 11 cars were banned.

KUNTS!

So what is the deal with this 11.99 sec or slower and the ANDRA licence?

My plan is to run faster than 11 and I do have an ANDRA licence. Will I be able to run more than a single run or not?

Dont want to pay $200 for a single run. :)

:P

My suggestion would be to do a number of half track and/or 3/4 passes and then wait until late in the day to do a full power run. If you run sub 11's then you wont be allowed to run again. But it depends on WSID staff's mood. If you just break into the 10's, they will probably ask you to take it easy.

1. If you run quicker then 12.0 seconds you need an ANDRA license.

2. You can't run quicker than 10.99 or quicker, regardless

So.. you can make passes all day long over 10.99ET, no problem

The basic constraint is you cannot run 10.99 or quicker.

My apologies guys, but if you are planning on running 10's or quicker then this day is NOT for you.. Simple as that. I dont need the aggravation.

This facility is owned by the state government, its catch-cry when Morris Iemma opened it was to get young people off the streets and a place to run their cars as well as a track to run big events like the international top fuel stuff. The wsid management after this 'incident' decided to lock out a lot of racers from private hires who had quick cars. They then tell us you can race at ANDRA test days for 3 times the fee charged for a private hire. This put the sheer cost of running our cars out of some peoples budgets and put racers back on the streets. Yes private hires are not for people like myself and my Stacey who the most fun we ever had racing the car was at an SAU run day racing with our friends. 11.00 is silly as they say that the track is only prepped to street meet standard (that was their excuse for imposing the 11.00 rule) and is unsafe for cars quicker than 11.00. But i can run a 7 second car on a wednesday night with no issues. Work that out. I think a change to 10.00 would be more appropriate as there is a huge list of cars in the 11.00-10.00 bracket.

Guys with 11.00 cars or slower, these days are great fun...enter, run your car all day and have a great time. All im saying is id like to be there to run with you.

I understand where you are coming from and i know all the history. I've organised several of these days before including a few where SAU members have been invited and attended. Please, let's not use this as a platform to air old wounds yet again, it will just spoil the day and make matters difficult for those who have to deal with track management. I am over the whole 10.99 thing. Having said all that, places are running out, with about 37 taken in 48 hours. If anyone is interested please let me know asap.

    • Dear folks My family members have 4 different cars : Triton 2015 and Corolla 2011 and Mazda3 2012 and Hyundai Elantra 2014 Looking to buy engine oil funnel spill free What I found are are below  https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0BBTTJNKX?ref=ppx_pt2_mob_b_prod_image&th=1 https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/145553221359?srsltid=AfmBOoqYBU6Ptw0LU_bAp_k67U3qkF97HHvePkA7iHZw8vUmiwoIRaRr https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09X23TCS5?th=1 Is there a funnel with attachment that fits most cars ? Don't mind to spend for a decent quality  Thx
    • Stock ECU (or more accurately stock tune) absolutely refuses to go over 10psi and behaves like you have seen. The Nistune is the same if it is the stock tune. If the Nistune chip has been tuned, the resulting tune could be literally anything for any combination of parts. The Nistune just makes the stock ECU Tunable.
    • So stock ECU does not like anything above 10 psi?  That Nistune one is just for "try" if it will be any different, I know it need to be tune for that. I know but YOU may know about these problem but i/we dont. They few little Skylines here let alone people who know anything about tham so that is why iam asking here
    • So now we have a radiator with no attachments whatsoever. It lifts up with a particularly tight spot between the drivers side air box mount and the lower radiator outlet, but if you've got this far you will sort that too. This is the lower mounts with the rad out so you can see where the rubber bushes go, it is a straight shot upwards Done! Assembly is the reverse of disassembly, with blood less likely to be shed.
    • Right, onto the second last trick. The Air Con condenser is mounted to the front of the radiator and stays in the car when the radiator is removed. There are 2x 10mm headed self tappers holding the top of the condenser to the radiator, remove those The bottom of the condenser is attached to the radiator with clips. You need to lift the condenser out of those clips and clear (up, then forward). f**ked if  could work out how to do that last bit with the front bumper on. I hope you can, and you share the trick.  Bumper removal probably deserves its own thread one day once I've recovered the will to live, but basically you need to remove the wheels, front inner guard liners (clips and 10mm headed bolts), the self tapper between the guard and the bumper at the rearmost point of the bumper (same as an R32 that bit), any remaining clips at the top/front of the grill, an absolute bastard design with a plate that holds the top of the bumper above the headlight each side (only 1 bolt which is tricky to get to, but the plate catches 2 places on the bumper and must be removed....carefully!) and push clips between the bumper and guard under the headlight. If you've done all that you will be faced with wiring for the fog lights on both sides and in ADM Q50 RS at least, 4 nasty tight plugs on the driver's side for the ADAS stuff. So, the clips at the bottom look like this on drivers side (looking from the front) And on the passenger side (also from the front), you can see this one is already out Clearance on both of these are super tight; the condenser needs to move up but the upper rad support mount prevents that, and the radiator can't move down far because it is (rubber) mounted. Once you achieve the impossible and drop the condenser off those mounts so it does not stop the rad moving, you are good to go
