I'm not making a new thread yet, but for those who are looking for something to do on this Sunday I am heading out to the Datsun Nationals for a looksy around, but I am going via a different route for a drive. If you are interested in coming then PM me and I will send you a PM on friday or saturday with a meeting time and place.

A bunch of us are cruising down south (Sunnybank) tomorrow night for dinner, check the thread in the QLD section for details. Southsiders are welcome to join the gangbang. :D

A bunch of us normally meet up on Thursday nights at Baskins n Robbins at Chapel Hill. We end up cruising from there to the Freedom Petrol Station on logan road to wash the cars n chill out. Its a good meet come along next week to B&R at 7:30ish and everyone should be there.

Check the North Western Suburbs thread for details

Just interested in seeing how many skyline owners are on the southside of brisbane. Wouldnt mind meeting up with a few people for drinks and a few laughs and car talk or a cruise or two.

im in wacol new to sau so keen to get out and meet some like minded people sounds good! >_<

Hm.. I'm at algester

white r33... Next door to me is another fellow skyline owner - she has a white 33 also. They look like twins hehe. Sometimes we park them next to eachother on ridgewood road.

A couple of streets behind me is boosted aswell 34.

I'm constantly driving from algester to forest lake. I also go to parkinson (sister lives there).

But if I'm in my car I'm in aglester/parkinson/forest lake or sunnybank. They are all basically 1 suburb away from each other.

We should have something like what the west's having. Dinner or bubble tea at market sqaure would be nice. (not gonna be parking in market square itself though). Maybe have a bunch of skyliners on msn and organize something. Anyone keen for just regular meet up for chat and bs without doing any illegal stuff?

    • I've seen similar actually in my situation. You never know what tables are attempted to be used when the car thinks it's -99C or +200C. The fail state is not usually that extreme but you know what I mean - it was in my case though! This is where being able to read all the sensors is useful cause you see this stuff really quickly.
    • The above is very important. However as long as you keep timing relatively low, it's plausible to make your own knock ears and plausible to learn to tune with a modern ECU that can do wideband O2 correction like a boost controller. I mean if you only have one viable road to even drive the car on, learning to tinker to this level may be worth doing given you can't do much else with the car...?
    • I find the fact that the rear plate has to be bent inwards at the rear not so bad: but the front is just awful: It's like come on. (these are my very old, now retired/turned in plates) TBH it is a lot of money to fix a minor issue, the fact I said "I'll never really spend the money on doing this" is why people ended up buying them as a gift for a 'car guy' who can be hard to shop for.. for car guy things.
    • I just bent the ends of my premo plates. It even went through Regency like that after the engine conversion and the inspector (a great bloke!) just squinted his eyes and said "I didn't see that". Plates, and how they look, are just something that have zero importance to me.
    • Yeah, I would have said the same. It makes me suggest that there are other things wrong, such that the ECU is totally unhappy with the broken sensor. The only other thought here is that maybe it is shorted, which might cause a different issue to the typical "disconnected" sensor.
