Hey Arun we really need to results of the wheel alignment to understand. When something is bent often the shop will adjust it as best they can and just leave it, or as you said tell you what you need to do to straighten it.

Personally I'd rather replace the bent arm than put in bushes to mask the problem but bushes can be a cheap option depending on what the problem is.

Also....because aus (and jp) roads slope to the outside (left), the standard alignment settings have a little more camber on the left to minimise it pulling that way. So it could just be the standard setting or even the slope of the road you are checking it on.

Swap the front left wheel with the front right wheel ...
NO. NO. NO. NO.

Swap the fronts with the rears. NEVER swap radial tyres side to side. That causes the tyre to rotate in the opposite direction, and that totally roots the setup of the underlying tread belts. Then you get a symptom of "out of alignment".

hey duncan,

thanks for the reply man... what a coincidence.. i changed the bushes already.. but no use... and about the slope roads, i have lancer, that drives straight ( i even tested takin my hands off the wheels). so i came to the conclusion that the left front wheel is bent inside.. nyways i am goin to RACEPACE next week for service... hope BEN can help me with that...

cheers

hey bud,

thanks for savin me man....

yeah Ben seems to know his stuff, plenty of impressive cars out of that shop. It won't be the wheel itself that is bent (than feel like a wheel out of balance) and probably not the hub/upright either. Normally it is the lower control arm and/or tie rod that are bent but I'm sure he can work it out.

On bushes, there are 2 types you can get, regular or adjustable. Unless you put in adjustable ones (and you shouldn't have to in a road car unless you've done something to stuff the alignment like lower it) they won't help straighten out any problems.

    • Hey. Very valuable information about pitwork, I will pay attention when buying any consumable parts 🙏 As for the carpets - I got a handful of information from nengun, from which it appears that indeed the carpets for the driver's side are OEM. They are not able to show me any pictures due to the long chain of different sales entities but after I place the order, as soon as the goods arrive at the nengun warehouse from which they will send the shipment to me they can send me photos and if my purchase differs from OEM I can immediately return it / cancel the purchase. I think I will give it a try 😉. Of course i'll let you know what's what as soon as i get them P.s. I know the topic is not relevant to the thread, but both nengun and amayama have these SICK 😍 trunk room lamps available. Do you know anyone who ordered them? I need to have one in my car
