would you trust getting motul 300v from ebay?

who in sydney sells it off the shelf?

should i buy the oil filter and oxygen sensor from nissan?

has anyone used the hks survice kit from gt auto garage? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Hk...&hl=service

what are your thought on it?

dude you could really just read the oils thread you commented in this morning. ill be nice and answer anyways

ebay: from a shop on ebay or from some random person? personally, i wouldnt.

what are you using your car for anyways? is it stockish or highly modified?

who sells it? everyone, literally, autobarn, peps, repco, supercheap, and anything else claiming to be the be-all-and-end-all of motoring knowledge but actually secretly specialise in falcodores, camrys and kingswoods

buy either a k&n or drift oil filter, both really good, so much better than the standard nissan and ryco ones. but if you haven't before, might be worth getting a new sump plug washer?

if you have an r33 or r32 you can buy a cheap (~$75) aftermarket o2 sensor, r34's need the nissan one which is $200+. they last about 60 000km and a fresh one might help your highway fuel consumption, that's all.

10w45 is generally accepted to be slightly heavy for the rb engines, though that said w40 is ideal for most people so not far off... fully synthetic means jack all, i'd call/email and ask if it is group 3, 4 or 5.

every answer to your questions are in the oils thread. there is also a search function with could help with the o2 sensor question, or you could just look in the o2 sensor thread.

    • Bit difficult to follow. Have a look below and see what the standard R32 layout was like. Note there was a restrictor in place immediately before "turbocharged pressure control solenoid" that, if removed, magically got you 1 bar boost.
    • I might be way off the mark here.. there must be a T junction under the manifold. That takes manifold pressure through a check valve prior to the T, one side splits out to this bleed off orifice, the other straight to the wastegate actuators.
    • Carrying out some engine due diligence before my first drive in a 260RS that has been in storage for 10+ years, and found two lines that are susposed to be plumbed into the boost control solenoid. One of the lines (the wastegate boost supply line) to actuate the gates, had a bolt in one end blocking it. The other line (main boost signal line) from the very rear of the intake manifold (RB26DETT) and runs up to the boost controller had this pill in the end of it as seen in photos. Other than the obvious (T28 Ceramic turbos might well be cooked)  Can anyone shed any light on if there is any validity at all with this mod, bleeding a constant fixed rate of manifold boost pressure off through this 3mm hole?  Is it deliberate?  Was this a 90s Jap mod done to RB26's? Or has someone just fitted this without any idea of what happens to ceramic T28s if they are not gate controlled?
    • This looks great! Awesome to have the 5 speed with an LSD in this. The Recaro's look like SR2's or SR3's. It's a shame they've been retrimmed as they would have looked sweet in their original colours. I think I'd want my agent to be a little more up front and informative too. I've never imported but I reckon it would make me a little nervous, so the more info the better.
