Dunno if anyone here is interested in V8supercars but they're my bag baby....

Personally im hoping that Seto can get up with Craig for his first Bathurst crown....

... but im tipping HRT and Skaifey to be on the pace from the word go although i wanna see Ambrose and Ingall decimate everyone on the day with the pace they've shown all year.

How are you tipping to win?

HRT one two if it rains purely because of skaifys and kellys skill and if it rains you gotta give jim richards a good chance to get up there. other than that I think ambrose and ingall will be up there but think ambrose will be doing as much of the driving as possible. I'd like murphy to be up there simply because he has had rotten luck lately and still has performed strongly.

Disclaimer: I am a Holden fan so I may show SOME bias :)

Hrmm its not gonna rain I already checked that. I'm thinking of going up to watch for the entire weekend... we'd be leaving 6am saturday and sleeping in our cars or where we are sitting (turn 1) and then prob get home like 10pm sunday nite.

Not sure if i wanna go yet coz it'll be a $250/wkend and i wanna go to the CRD Dyno Day (to watch the great race on tv instead of just watching cars go around 1 corner). Hrmmm decisions...

Watching it on TV would never compare to actually being there though. I would love to go oneday...

Anyway I'm going for Skaifey, Richards, and Murphy. But I think If Ambrose and Ingall don't have any bad luck they they'll win cauze Ambrose has just been a class ahead of everyone else this year.

In Adelaide theres motorsport on from 6:30am to 6:30pm and then Moto Gp on late at night! yay!:P

Yup at home you get to see teh entire race track, at Bathurst you get to see the 1 corner 161 times haha.

If you're going up there, just leave the 'line at home...the bogans haven't forgiven us for group A yet....

IMHO, home is the place to watch anything - big screen, replays, no crowds (unless u want one), and plenty of beer in the fridge :P

anyone know where you can bet on the race?

At home online at www.sportstab.com.au and also at www.centrebet.com.au

Sportstab is easier to use but CentreBet usually has better options and odds.

Television doesn't compare with actuallly being there. I don't care much for the V8s but i went to the 24hr last year which was great. Up the top of the mountain you can walk around almost half the track. You can stand at Skyline and get your ears blasted as they downshift before the chicanes and the next day the sounds and smells are still stuck in your mind.

The thing that puts most people off V8s is that Holden vs Ford bullcrap. All the guys who get fired up about that are just ignorant bogans.

Poor old Larry... at least as team owner you only have to kick your own arse when you drive into a wall. Its a shame coz I'd love to see either Larry or everyone's hero Jimmy carry off a huge upset victory :)

Pfft, they're no more falcons and commodores than the Aussie Legends are. They're all just controlled sports sedans these days.

Yup stupid gate, if the concrete wall continued right around the corner their'd be hardly any damage.

Yeah, thats what you get with street circuits, on permanent circuits they can plan things like run-offs properly.

Of course, the other thing that sucks about street circuits is that 99% of ppl can never race on em, Bathurst is only used as a track 2 weekends a year :)

BTW, I hope to god winterbottom can catch that smart arse Luff :D

    • Did you pay with a credit card? I'd be putting a charge back through then finding a new sparky to sort it out.
    • If you mean the alarm immobiliser; theyre internal to the alarm itself which makes that difficult; I couldnt even see where he put it; its not in the same place as last time; but with all black wiring it might be very challenging to trace  I had someone turn the key for me as I know it only primes for a couple of seconds As my post above; I am getting no voltage to the pump at all; but I am testing continuity of the power line (SB) from the pump plug to the relay fine. As well as the negative from the pump plug to a 12V constant.    Yeah; he blammed the no start on a bad battery; said I needed to get a new battery and it'll start. Turns out the battery drained because the tail lights had been on for half the day during the install (the rubber cushion on the brake switch gave out while he was testing it as I have a picture of the car from that morning with the tail lights off..i've replaced that). The battery was turning over the engine just fine for a long time; but got low since lights were draining it so it was too low to test a start after he finished. I bought a new one on his advice...$250 wasted. My original battery charged up just fine and is healthy.    It was running perfectly fine when I messed up the old alarm (programmed out the remotes). He couldnt start it after removing the old alarm; my assumption is that when he unhooked it; he didnt bridge the circuit back when trying to start it. Its always been perfectly fine. The ECU swap and pump were 2 years ago. It's never missed a beat in that time.
    • This is a big issue for me without the diff. I just have zero drive from the passenger side when drivers side has no traction. Bec's parents place has a crazy steep driveway with odd camber and I have never been able to get up. My bro-in-law's 130i with an (unknown brand) LSD gets up fine as does their dad's Hiace. My car stays at the bottom. We have other odd camber roads around here as we're elevated a bit and if it's raining I can get totally stuck around some hairpins.
    • Yeah, I am super excited for this.
    • Was the car running before he touched the car?
