Yeah I've just about hit that point with all of the niggling problems such as boost leaks fooling the EBC and making it overboost, so I can't wind it out for fear of it doing an R&R type thing on me, the inability to get ATTESSA to work with the Microtech (and the fact that it runs so rich i'm forever changing plugs and putting fuel in it), which leaves me with a 1500kg GTS-T, but then I realise that it'd be too difficult to sell here, so I might as well persist with it. That said I do still love driving it, and it's my only car.

look alright man just needs some tlc

Thanks man

no wonder man!!! you need to paint those side skirts. thats what's turning you off.

if my car is dirty, i'm kind of indifferent towards it. but when it's clean, i'm all smiles. i cant imagine having a half done body mod.

get it painted you lazy ass :(

Haha I bought the skirts 2nd hand about 2 months ago and just wacked it on with a few screws. It was matt black from the previous owner. I can't be bothered spending money to paint them. I'm so over spending money on the car.....but yes you're correct, I'm a lazy ass about it :)

I've put a white Monkey (Warehouse) sticker on the rear of the skirt to balance the black and white. And I didn't get the rest of the kit cos I wouldn't be able to get up the driveways etc I drive on.

ye i hate my car, especially after the new engine, and new rear diff. everytime some thing breaks i swear that its the last straw and that next ill sell it

yet i cant even try selling it, so im gonna buy a lappo for a daily and keep the gtr for weekends! win win situation, at least now i can dump it to ground and not worry about the shitty city parking!

steve

I bought a bike. It serves as a half daily. I rotate with the car nowdays.

I hate my car because it takes all my money :P It's like a drug and i can't stop!

I hate my car cos it's taken my money already :P

love hate relationship. I'm waiting for my standard turbo to give up the ghost still. I reckon it could be any day now. I don't flog it much so it will probably last longer than i expect it too.

ive been like that with all my cars.. i bought my 33 gtst... which was a great looking car.. i really liked it, but i wanted a 32... but because of the lack of price difference, the r33 made more sense, i kept it immaculate, but always wanted a 32.. i bought a bugeye wrx, again, same story, lack of price difference made the later model wrx the better option.. but i never liked the look of it.

now i have a 32 gtst... which is what i wanted in the first place... its a bit of a daily, and at present doesnt have a garage... it will soon though.. it could be a fantastic car with a little bit of money... but that little bit of money could get me a gtr... which is what ive always wanted since i was a kid.. but again... the lack of price difference between the 32's and 33 gtrs will mean ill probably get a 33 gtr, even though i want a 32 gtr.

i hate cars.

no, you dont get the r33 gtr if you want an r32 gtr. what you do is spend the extra cash on a really nice r32 gtr, with mods, and wheels, that make u jizz in ur pants.

coz the year of manufacture on the rego papers wont make u jizz in ur pants :(

let me rephrase... i like all gtrs.. i like my 32's... but dislike the interior, i feel cramped etc. i like the 33's but they arent a 32. its not about building a kick ass engine, for that i would have a 32 hands down... its about the whole experience.. which points at a 33 as they are a bit more solid. a nice r32 is still going to have the same instruments and dash as a cheap crap one..

I know how you feel mate. Ive taken so much care of my car. Washed it every week, interior never had 1 spec of dust on it. Everyone was surprised how clean it was. Then all of a sudden came a taxi driver that demolished my rear end. It got fixed, but since then i have washed it once (happened in January). Also i have had minor things that shit me like little rust specs were a rock has hit it and chipped the paint then it rusts.

Ive gotten so annoyed with it so i decided to go all out to MAKE me pay more attention to it lol. Its at the panel shop as we speak getting a full bodykit and a custom respray job. Hope that cures me not taking care of it lol, turning it into a show car :(

I didn't really care too much about my skyline. After coming from a couple of real nice Toyotas it was a thrash pig and I treated it as such, eventually putting it backwards into a cliff. Sold it because the repair work I did was ghetto as fk and if I got defected it would've been too hard to get it off.

I love my sil most of the time, it is almost the perfect daily. Freak RB20 with heaps of torque, looks stock as so the cops don't bother me, is quiet and comfortable yet is still reasonably quick and heaps fun to chuck around.

The many little problems it has can annoy me at times, but over all I like it almost as much as I liked my Chaser.

Hey mate I get you. I always wanted a R32 GTR always thought they looked better, I absolutally hate r33 gtst's (just not as much every "australian" car) but when it came time to spend my own actual money the R33 GTR was too good to pass up bigger newer looking inside and out less dated and worn out. So I bought an R33 Gtr handed over the money drove away looking at that big wing in the rear vision mirror thinkng to myself WTF have i done i hate 33's.

3 years on still got it still use it as my daily and still nothing is broken or torn, cant say it would be the same way if i did by an R32.

yeah i actually love the whole car best decision i ever made just needed time to grow on me. Think im going to just keep it forever now spent too much on it to get rid of it, and one day hopefully it will be a "classic"

Who doesn't love their car?

I've owned it for 3 years now. It's a daily and gets treated like a daily too. It gets serviced and all the maintenance attention it needs, but I don't really feel compelled to keep it clean. I don't seem to care about it anymore. I've put money into it and made it go a bit quicker and handle a bit better and stop a bit better. I enjoy the way it drives and have put only a couple of visual mods to make it bearable in my eye. The S1 R33's are a bit on the ugly side, and I've thought that since day 1.

It's reliable, it goes relatively well but doesn't break any fastest car in town records and don't really want it to. I feel spending anymore money on the car is futile. Heck I even dropped my comprehensive insurance for third party fire and theft.

It get's washed like once every 6 - 8 weeks. The mods that were put on were put on with a 'she'll be right' attitude.

I know it's a good car, but that's all it is to me now.

Share your hate for your car...

It's all a State Of Mind!

If I can use Self-Hypnosis to make-believe that whilst in my 'Lude, I'm really driving an LP560-4,

you too can hire a Hypnotherapist to help convince you that you're in an R35 instead of an R33!

I have owned my 32 gtr for 9 months and have only driven 60km. 1 problem after the next new engine problem nearly sorted and some f**ker slashes my tyre so now i have enough money to a) finish fixing it. b) new tyre. c) pay to license it.

Even after all the problems I love her to death. 1 more problem and I'll be joining you guys.

BTW please pick an option for me.

    • Apologies for the long post, but needed somewhere to lay out the entire timeline of events and actions taken:   I've got an 89 GTR with a R34 RB in it. It's been running great all year, driven probably 500KM in the last month. It's not my daily driver, just a weekend fun car.    Build info: R34 RB26 - HKS 2.7 stroker kit, HKS adjustable cam gears, HKS turbo upgrades, Trust intercooler, R34 factory DENSO 440cc injectors, JUN chipped/tuned R32 ECU. All of this work was performed in Japan back in 2019.    Thursday 10/2/25 - It's a nice day and decided I'll drive it to work, I start it up in the garage and I notice it took a few extra cranks and sounded a bit funny. I figure maybe it was just because it was a pretty chilly morning. I pull it out into the driveway to warm up a bit before leaving. As I leave the driveway, it feels very off and sounds like a misfire. I pull it back in the garage to deal with after work and take the daily to work. I was able to diagnose it as a cylinder 5 misfire with the old spark plug test (unplugging each plug until a sound change with the engine running). I take off the whole ignition system, ignitor, plugs, spark. *Important note, it is still on the R32 ignition system with the separate ignitor system. I test each system with a multi-meter and nothing presents as a smoking gun. I put it all back together and it starts up no issue. I go ahead and order the PRP R35 ignition conversion kit. It should arrive today (10/13/25)   Friday 10/3/25 - Another nice day, car starts up great and drives great all day. Very pleased that everything seems to be OK   Sunday 10/5/25 - Decided I'll take it to play some golf, load up and drive to the course about 25 minutes away. Drives wonderful the whole way there, I pull in the parking lot and the engine completely comes to a stop. I do not recall if it sputtered at all, but just remember all of the sudden the engine was off. I roll it into a parking spot, try to crank it back on and nothing.  It'll crank and crank and not even try to start. End up getting it towed back to my house and push it up into the garage.    Items I have checked: Fuel in the tank Fuel Pump relay Fuel pump fuse  Spark Plugs & gap Coil packs Ignitor    I know the cylinders are getting fuel as the plugs smell like fuel after a start attempt. I tried spraying starter fluid into the manifold and cranking and not even a sputter.    I decided to do the live CAS test (removing the the CAS, ignition on and spinning the CAS stalk to see if the injectors pulse and spark is active). All of the injectors were pulsing and I have spark at the plug. The half-moon end of the CAS did seem very loose, I'm not sure how much play is supposed to be there, but it was more than I expected. There was no in/out play of the shaft, just the tip end that is pinned on had quite a bit of play.    CAS Play video   When I put the CAS back in, I stupidly did not re-time the engine. I know I need to do that tonight, however, I do not think it will start given it seemingly was not the issue. My plan is to do the PRP R35 coil kit and retime the engine at the same time.    I plan on ordering the Haltech Nexus Plug-in ECU once they are available again, but ideally would like to get this sorted before firing the parts cannon at it and potentially adding more variables.    Anything glaring that I am missing here, I'm a bit at a loss?
    • Get it on a dyno. Get something logging Consult. Run it up and find out what is causing it.
    • Looking for a plenum for rb25 de+t neo  Not looking to push much power maybe 300kw at the wheels, is there much difference in flow for Freddy “Greddy style” compared to original Greddy or options like Proflow or Otaku garage?    I won’t be porting the de Neo head for now as I think it’ll be fine 280-300rwkw but appreciate the help and any experiences anyone has between them and any advice. Thanks  Looking at this plenum for now below
