ahh damn!!! ok ill find more shit you guys dont have in your povo packs

Jealousy is a curse, I'm thinking you won't find a *great* deal of difference between the RS / X

Our cars are just more sporty! Where as yours is a crossdresser, oops I mean crossover ;)

Only phone camera (i.e. el crappo quality), gives you an idea what wez talkin' 'bout tho! :)

;)

F***'n Mo******ker! B*******! F***'n son of a two bit, well used a*** w**** ! F***! F***!! F***!! F***!!

*ahem*

...and where, per say would my lovely Stagea stamped door F***'N TRIM BITS BE???

ummm, yeah guys. They look good.

I must admit that it sucks when you find out everyone else's Stagea has something that yours doesn't!

It's like ripped off majorly!

If I come across any during my gogglie's searchs etc I'll let you know iamhe77

is that a rare thing??

mines got that

mine didnt even have the stickers off it when i got my car

*chin sinks into chest*

* face sinks into hands*

Guess it has nothing to do with the "Aero selection" as they say.

I would say that it may have been something Nissan introduced in 2002+, but my mates M35 doesn't have them either!

Mine is a 2001 model, given the marks and wear etc. I'd say they were there from factory.

Maybe they were an option, though FAST didn't say anything??

Anyone fitted an ARX LSD to an RS or RX? Straight forward?

My RS has an lsd...

Might be more common than previously thought. Seems to be varying spec levels across the different models, i.e. leather, 6 stack BOSE, nav, etc.

No reason why this couldn't apply to diff, esp. if there is no ratio difference.

What's the easiest way to check incase mine does have it?!

Besides planting it in the wet lol

Beat me to that question.

I have planted it in the wet (determined to get it sideways).

U-turn (or U-bolt for all the NSW peeps) at about 15kph, then planted it 3/4 of the way through.

Rear end slipped out a little (turned the wheel to between 10 & 11 o'clock to correct) and fronts immediately gripped and I was at 100kph in no time.

How would an LSD or lack of LSD change this scenario?

Jack one rear wheel off the ground, with handbrake off, rotate wheel. If wheel turns, no lsd. Friction from lsd will prevent you from rotating wheel. Good luck, hopefully more free lsd's will be found!

also dont have an overdrive button.

If you want a boost gauge, you need to fit your own but it is very easy.

The 5th gear is the overdrive, if you put it in triptronic mode it will start in 4. Then you need to change to 5 if you want a taller gear.

Cheers

Andy

2003 RS FOUR here, with the guages in the centre (except my boost guage is broken - barely works - 99% of the time it sits on full vacuum even under heavy throttle when i can hear the turbo spooling).

no "stagea" on door sills, no leather, no heated seats, no rear air-con vents... you guys suck lol :D

but hey...i do have guages...even if only 2 of them are working (but the volts one isn't very interesting and i dont drive fast enough for the front torque one to move much either).

no overdrive button - but then s2 stageas dont have one either. no real need when you have tiptronic.

    • For once a good news  It needed to be adjusted by that one nut and it is ok  At least something was easy But thank you very much for help. But a small issue is now(gearbox) that when the car is stationary you can hear "clinking" from gearbox so some of the bearing is 100% not that happy... It goes away once you push clutch so it is 100% gearbox. Just if you know...what that bearing could be? It sounding like "spun bearing" but it is louder.
    • Yeah, that's fine**. But the numbers you came up with are just wrong. Try it for yourself. Put in any voltage from the possible range and see what result you get. You get nonsense. ** When I say "fine", I mean, it's still shit. The very simple linear formula (slope & intercept) is shit for a sensor with a non-linear response. This is the curve, from your data above. Look at the CURVE! It's only really linear between about 30 and 90 °C. And if you used only that range to define a curve, it would be great. But you would go more and more wrong as you went to higher temps. And that is why the slope & intercept found when you use 50 and 150 as the end points is so bad halfway between those points. The real curve is a long way below the linear curve which just zips straight between the end points, like this one. You could probably use the same slope and a lower intercept, to move that straight line down, and spread the error out. But you would 5-10°C off in a lot of places. You'd need to say what temperature range you really wanted to be most right - say, 100 to 130, and plop the line closest to teh real curve in that region, which would make it quite wrong down at the lower temperatures. Let me just say that HPTuners are not being realistic in only allowing for a simple linear curve.
    • I feel I should re-iterate. The above picture is the only option available in the software and the blurb from HP Tuners I quoted earlier is the only way to add data to it and that's the description they offer as to how to figure it out. The only fields available is the blank box after (Input/ ) and the box right before = Output. Those are the only numbers that can be entered.
    • No, your formula is arse backwards. Mine is totally different to yours, and is the one I said was bang on at 50 and 150. I'll put your data into Excel (actually it already is, chart it and fit a linear fit to it, aiming to make it evenly wrong across the whole span. But not now. Other things to do first.
    • God damnit. The only option I actually have in the software is the one that is screenshotted. I am glad that I at least got it right... for those two points. Would it actually change anything if I chose/used 80C and 120C as the two points instead? My brain wants to imagine the formula put into HPtuners would be the same equation, otherwise none of this makes sense to me, unless: 1) The formula you put into VCM Scanner/HPTuners is always linear 2) The two points/input pairs are only arbitrary to choose (as the documentation implies) IF the actual scaling of the sensor is linear. then 3) If the scaling is not linear, the two points you choose matter a great deal, because the formula will draw a line between those two points only.
