I purchased this kit last October and found it to be excellent, although back then, the exhaust housing had a standard nissan 6 bolt flange on it.

Car made 235Kw before the injectors maxed out, with a fuel pump and Z32.

Only problem I found was that the space plate wasn't thick enough to clear the turbo from the stock manifold.

Turbo is supplied by GCG, so you know that they are good quality Garrett's!!

For the money definitely get one, if you put crap gear on your car, it will only haunt you later on, when it breaks.

The best thing was that the turbo spooled up at around 2800 rpm, so there was little to no lag from the bigger unit

what did you end up doing to overcome the spacer problem and also how much psi you ran to get 235kw

You will have boost control problems with the tenie tiny internal gate.

Get a 0.63 turbine hsg and a TiAL 38mm external gate and you will love it for the street or if you plan on a engine rebuild later on and more power and maybe track time go the 0.82.

so your saying the internal gate are no good?

alright fair enough. Anyone else tried these turbos and whats your experiences, also does anyone know any places in melbourne where i can purchase one dont want to have to buy from nsw

i went the internal gate. Had a few issues with actuator and boost creep. Eventually it got sorted, would probably have cost me less if i went with the external. Pay extra now to save more later. I would buy one from a direct garret supplier too like mtq.

Seriously - try searching.

People are unlikely to continually post their experiences, especially about internal gates which are so well documented you could write a factual book on them, RB25's and the limitations :P

yeah I have been searching and everyone is saying 3076 with 0.82 housing is the best option, im just wanting to know if the 0.71 housing internal wastegate will cause boost creep as others have had with 0.63 housing, thats prety much the last question im left with, will 0.71 do the job with no creep or should i go with 0.82.

the 0.71 is a milled housing and cropped turbine.

Personally I want to leave everything at Garrett specs, so I've chosen the 0.82.

I think the 0.71 was designed for the GT3071 for 4 cylinder applications.

Ive had issues with the kits as they are NOT kits... they are just a turbo and other parts are needed, so be prepared to spend quite a bit more to get it installed. A few SR turbos customers have been bringing in lately need actuator brackets fabbed up etc... in the end it was cheaper to buy the GCG KIT (which is actually a bolt on solution, you specify the car model and it arrives setup) which had the correct actuator bracket and housings clocked to the right postion.

The Tweakit RB25 kits ARE resold GCG kits, but at cheaper price >_<

Confirmed by GCG themselves.

same price as the ATS GT3076 .73 AVO rear housing, Garrett CHRA, nissan hiflowed comp housing

Adelaide Turbo Services - rated to 280rwkw

bolt on solution

100% has my backing as the perfect RB25det turbo upgrade

looks like stock, goes 200% better than stock

ie stock 120kw, modified 240kw, same fuel consumption

>_<

    • Hi from Canada, Both of my calipers are starting to fail. My car is a 2005 M35 Stagea ARX and I can't seem to find any parts or any cross reference caliper that would fit my car. Is there a company or a similar caliper that would fit and I could replace the OEM one. Or if anyone knows where I can find a new OEM. Any help is very appreciated. Let me know!
    • Maf is a question mark but TPS  I have set at 0.47, the fact that I’m getting proper voltage range out of it with the key on leads me to believe it’s functioning properly. I’m getting proper voltages on basically everything. I still need to look up voltage ranges for z32 maf and test that
    • Honestly no not at all, but it’s a very basic tune, it’s stock injectors q45 tps and z32 maf. Other than that it’s a completely stock base map. The file is from nistune and from my understanding if it was tune related I would be able to unplug maf and tps and it would still start even if it was a really shitty start. I have tried starting it with coolant temp, maf, and tps unplugged none of those 3 togethor or individually changes anything

    • What does it look like with highway driving? And yes, I had a similar thought as Duncan. It looks quite similar in my Stagea and I have made myself accept it as normal. Might have to look into it some day   Highway gets as low as 10l/100km on my end so I'm not as worried about it being a mechanical issue. More likely just the tune on the haltech.
