so, i bought this car a couple of months ago, with the idea that it would be the next project car.

its going to be a track only car and i have de registered it.

first things first, up on the dyno to have a look.

190rwkw on stock everything, not to bad.

then after saving up for a while ad working out what i needed and what i wanted i took the car to the shed, and took it apart.

i bought a new turbo, manifold, computer, injectors, coils, and a rolling dyno tuning program, and im in the process of putting all of that on to see how it goes.

(yes my girlfriends sister had a party in the shed)

and to the inside, i ripped out all of the interior stuff, sound deadening, roof lining, air con, heater, carpet, rear seats, seatbelts, gutted the dash, removed lots of wiring, most of the dash and i am making a custom alloy one.

here are some progress pics.

190 stock everything? 33 standard gtst's had about 150-160rwkw stock..... u must have had a boost controller and other stuff... exhaust? I see piping for a fmic and a boost controller/boost gauge in your first engine pic...

wots the turbo?

yeah when i bought the car thats what was in it, and as i live way out west its not just a matter of picking up another box and swapping it in.

the car is going on a train at the end of the year and heading back to brisbane so ill do a man conversion in the new year.

there just isnt the facilities to do it here

on that note, before the car gets back to bris i am stuck with the auto box, how much can they handle stock?

hey mate nice car. what ecu are you running? in regards to auto box i have a vr commodore with a rb25 in it (just a fun little project) with auto and was asking the same question. ive seen 330rwhp with stock auto no trans cooler. i ran a big trans cooler and also got onto MV AUTOS and bought a manuilesed shift kit for r33 auto box. they shift harder and obviously manualised. around $300 i think it was. i am hoping that the box will see above 360rwhp with that setup.

    • Oh, also, forgot to add these photos I believe.
    • Thought i'd update on this. I was able to get in contact with Craig Lieberman and later on Darryl Alison (owner of Kaizo Industries). Darryl was able to help me verify that my car was in fact one of theirs and is helping me find more info on mine !
    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
