Hey guys im looking at picking up this stagea for 18k

I have only just started looking but this seems like a pretty good price.

Apparently only 62,000km on the clock ;)

Its an auto with dvd player.

I think its an RS4 or an RS4V but im not even sure of the difference between the 2 models.

So yeh just wanted some more help on identifying this model and how much it might be worth.

Sorry if all this has already been explained.

Oh and if this is in the wrong spot just delete it and ill post it somewhere else.

Any help or guidance is appreciated.

62,000kms is entirely possible.

It is an RS Four V as there are no manual RS's.

Is it a DVD player or does it have the DVD ROM. BIIIIIGGG difference.

Looks like Impul side skirts (or at least copies).

Don't know about the front lip and the rear skirt. Look like an imitation as the fit is not good enough for "real" jdm.

Love the grill though ;)

What about interior details/pics?

In the end, the car is value is what you are prepared to pay for it.

got no idea about the dvd or dvd rom

only had a 5min look as i was walking past... and snapped some photos and chatted to the guy that owns it.....

so i dont have anymore pics but from what i can remember it was pretty tidy inside... Deff no tears or anything like that.

whats the deal with dvd or dvd rom... the owner just pointed to the dash and fliped something up on the passenger side and said thats the dvd player

and then tapped the screen and it popped out of the center dash area.

Was the DVD "player" black with only an eject button by any chance?

If so, I would say that it is the DVD ROM which is what the jdm GPS disc is put in.

It CANNOT play DVD's.

The only way to play DVD's on the pop-up screen is to have an aftermarket DVD PLAYER installed.

Cloth trim? It is comfortable.

Sounds like a base model RS with Sat Nav, a mix-and-match body kit and a set of rims.

Ill have to take a closer look...

I am pretty sure it was a big bulky after market dvd player.

Yeh Cloth... not sure about the comfort....

I love the front end... not a fan of the rest of the kit. or the wheels... or the auto... but hey that can all be changed, right?

p.s. is there any way of changing the title of this thread...?

Pics of DVD player.

Cloth trim is more supportive than leather in M35's.

5-speed Auto is better than you think... and cannot really be changed (with reasonable $$$$ outlay) - AWD Manual Nissan using the VQ25/35 engine... hmmm...

Only M35 manual is the Autech 350S which is RWD VQ35DE.

Drive it.

If you like it.

Buy it.

Then do lots of reading of this forum ;)

Maybe some of the M35 owner's from QLD know this car? They might be able to give you some more information.

Also, if you get the VIN # and post it here some nice person will run a Nissan FAST for you and provide some basic production information about the vehicle i.e. what factory options were fitted when produced etc.

Looks good, no sun roofs tho!! they are pimping ;)

I'm with Cam on the bodykit, seems like a real dodgy fit on the sides and back but if the rest is in great condition @ 18k you can always watch out for a nice kit on Import Monster and jazz her up

.... elvis has left the building... (yeah, I'm on caffeine overdose atm )

thanks guys,,,,

yeh ill check it out tomorrow and get the vin number and take it for a drive.

The car is on the gold coast.

lol i know i wanted sun roofs...

thanks for filling me in on the diff between RS FOUR and RSFOUR V zei20l

ohh the difference between RS FOUR and RS FOUR V is the V model has hicas. thats the 4 wheel steering system from nissan if you didnt know.

are you sure about that? in the older stageas (s1 & s2) most of the models (including my last stagea) were RS4V but they definitely didn't have 4WS.

I was sure my M35 was a 'V' as well (I could be wrong) - and it doesn't have 4WS.

well, then im wrong

however, i know ALL ARXs have hicas, RX dont ever have hicas, RS models its an option, and i have no idea about AXIS models, but probably not.......

Well my AXIS . does not have HICAS

    • That was the first session so not a lot to take from the day. It was low 20s ambient and the coolant had got to 110 (and obviously had some pressure!) so that still needs to be addressed. I haven't downloaded the data yet but will. I had refilled the auto trans with Redline DT6 because it claimed the best viscosity I could find at 100o. It wasn't really long enough to get a good feel for that; while the trans got to 100o in the session it still wasn't shifting crisply as I hoped. I think I'll try a few more sessions before judging. No steering motor overheat but I'd hope not in only 1 session! But finally the suspension; it was night and day over the standard stuff and the car was a couple of seconds quicker on the same crappy tyres, which is a huge difference. I'll stick with that and get some sway bars and a mechanical diff sorted too and see how that all goes together
    • I guess it’s partially a compromise of how my car is used, wanting to be able to switch from drift to grip with track side on-car adjustment. Also partially with the way the knuckles are set there is more static camber but less dynamic camber gain.
    • OK, so update from the track day on Friday It was a classic "an unfortunate series of events'. There were a few cars around and when i checked my mirror coming out of the fish hook I notice some smoke from the rear of mine. Looked again and it was getting much worse, I figured I'd blown a turbo or something to got off it and pulled off the racing line. However.... since it is a left hairpin into a right kink, I was on the inside of the next corner. There was a car passing me on the left and a big drop off over the ripple strip on the right......and someone had knocked the witch's hat that was on the apex about 1m onto the track. So, between those 3, I decided to mow down the cone and not damage my car/the other car. Right choice, but surprising result.  The car decided the cone was a small pedestrian so it blew the rear bonnet hinges up to protect their head in the upcoming person to car impact....I didn't see that coming and like an airbag deployment it happened super fast. Straight into the pits from there, everything was driving fine but it became clear it was a coolant leak not smoke, it was billowing up onto the windscreen. Onto the trailer and home. I'll do a separate thread about the repair (once I work out what it is ), but the immediate problem was the bonnet wouldn't open because the front was pinched onto the front bar and would not release. Ultimately we unbolted the hinge from the bonnet, pulled it back a little and it released from the front OK. "There's your problem", the top radiator hose had popped off at the radiator.
    • Yeah that looks like great caster, but I'd suggest trying less front camber some time and seeing if it helps with braking without reducing mid corner speed too much
    • I ended up setting the rear 5mm higher than normal to give some clearance.  My plan is to run the least camber I can in the rear which I think with the extra width is going to need to be -1.75 to -2.00° just to get clearance.  Guards have been rolled and pulled as much as they can/I would be wanting to.  front has the Acostal knuckle with the KPI change and the drop etc. So should be okay with the existing settings I have run with AR1s etc Front: Toe total -2mm(1mm out each side) Caster +7.5° Camber -3.8° Ackerman +15°
