Cheapest Racing Circuit Form?

As said, all forms of circuit racing are expensive. But it would be more helpful to say that yes, there are cheaper forms of it out there. Open classes with less restrictions are probably your best bet. If you're not adamant about circuit racing, motorkhanas are cheap exercise and experience. Drifting is cheap until after the race...

A number of dirt speedways (like Avalon and Alexandra) run "banger races" as supports for the sprintcars, these races usually involve getting a old falcon/HQ/valiant/etc. and welding some rudimentary safety bars into them. The races usually involve contact, and run over about 20 laps for a small cash prize.

Hello,

There is a new club in victoria that will be running race meetings similar to dirtcircuit. Here is a link:-http://www.wvcruiseclub.com/showthread.php?p=77226#post77226

If it is set up the same way as dirt circuit in SA it will be the cheapest way to participate in organised motor sport. We only pay $30 a year club membership and $10 per race meeting nomination fee. Cars can be built for less than $1000, including all the saftey equipment belts, seat cage etc...
