That is so great that there is such a age gap? that appreciate the skyline. I was always under the impression that it was mainly the younger people that where interested in this car. WOW 18 to 50 didn't know it was so broad.

Yep I'm 54 later this month.

So far I've owned

S54

C110

C211

R30

R31

R32

R33

R34

V35

OK I've been a Skyline tragic for 35 odd years before they became trendy

Last few posts have upped the average

Turned "60" in April - still a couple of yrs younger than Jim Richards & still can't see myself driving an auto.

Can't afford an R35 import for a while yet anyhow. :P

So yeh, I was born in the 1st half of last century - just!

For a lark, I've sometimes contemplated walking across the road towards my car holding a white cane & wearing dark sunnies >

Then I'd shock the living daylights out of the onlookers driving a car like this

Datsun 1600 was my 1st car "new"; then,

Datsun 180B "used"

Ford Escort Van "Pharmacy Van"

Datsun 240K "new"

Alfetta GTV 2l. "new"

Sigma SE "used"

Volvo 245GL "new" to keep the family safe; but still got booked by police in light aircraft over Woodford

Skyline R31 Silhouette "new"

Mazda 929 "used"

Maxima G "used"

Alfa Romeo 164Q "used"

Skyline R33 GT-R (midnight purple)

Honda Prelude 5th Gen "used"

BMW 328Ci "used" + N13 Pulsar (daily)

Skyline R34 GT-R (pearl black) + Prelude 4th Gen (daily)

BTW, for the record, there were 2 guys older than me at the R34 GT-R 10th Anniversary Drive; which made me feel better :P

    • Any G40/1000 or G40/1250 results out there?
    • You still want a proper tune on the stock ECU though. Stock tune + stock ECU with GT-SS/-9s is probably playing with fire if you're running more than stock airflow/power.
    • I like their veal scallopini.
    • Definitely a hearty eater when we go out, I consider these meals my cheat day as I've been watching my calories in and calories out pretty hard since my little fun size stroke, I've gone from a fat boy of 89 Kg, I'm only 165cm tall/short, down to a almost semi lean 73 Kg over the last few years, I'm currently around 17% body fat which my doctor is very happy with, but, my goal is to slowly get down to and maintain 15%,so yeah, I want all of the protein, carbs, fats and sugars when I go out for a binge
    • There was a great one on Victoria Rd in Gladesville too back in the day. I can only assume GTSBoy is thinking of the mill up on the wollondilly, no restaurant there any more but they have restored the original steam engine on site and run it every few months, have an annual steampunk festival etc @The Bogan, you came to the wrong town for restaurants. we have a few reasonable asian and indian options but the Paragon is as good as it gets otherwise. That brewery is apparently just opened, been meaning to give it a go some time. The Highlands have plenty of fancy options but I suspect you are more a hearty eater than fancy eater
