That absolutely sucks man!

Do you have insurance on it?

No Insurance, still owe 20K absolutely gutted.

been driving around all morning like an idiot hoping to find it dumped somewhere.

I hope it was a couple of punks and not a professional parts finder.

Any body hears of black r34 gtt parts around sydney going too cheap or seems sus let me know

0430079461

thanks everyone

daaaamn, that REALLY sucks man! Don't give yourself a heart attack :( I can only imagine what you're going through!

I take it you've already contacted the police etc?

Also, I'm going to move this to the NSW section so more people can keep an eye out for it k? :)

Christ that's horrible. Sorry to hear mate.. hope your car was just taken by joyriders and they just dump it without damaging it too much. Keep us posted wont you.

Thanks everyone for the support.

I can't imagine if someone with a skyline would be so gutless to steal someone elses for parts.

We all know how special these cars are to own and drive.

I must be the dumbest skyline owner on the planet. no insurance no imobiliser not even a clublock.

I've been told it's lucky i didn't catch them in the act as I would most likely have been stabbed or clubbed.

but if i had a shotgun and an address believe me the way i feel right now there would be a

punk car booster with two very large holes in them.

I worked so damn hard and I earned the right to own a car like that and some Pr##k just takes what he wants.

This be a warning! DO NOT BE COMPLACENT. Get Insurance, get an alarm and immobiliser, get a clublock. put your babies in the garage. Get GPS tracking for $1 a day If I had done this at least they may have been caught and saved someone else from this.

even if this car is not recovered, I will be back someday with another.

SAU are THE best car club going and I am proud to support it!

Thankyou all again..... Eyes peeled.

ahhh man that sux so so bad!... im sick of all this increasing bullsh1t going round bout cars gettin stolen or vandalised or broken into... considering u get more of a penalty stealing a tic tac from woolworths than stealing a car, n when u beat the crap outta the wank breaking into ur car u get charged 4 it! really hope u find it soon dude

that sux and good luck in finding it in one piece

Man when I bought mine last year, finance company (StGeorge Bank) wouldn't even let me buy it without first getting full comprehensive insurance covering the full loan amount ... and I booked in a professional immo/alarm install to coincide with delivery date but still was weary for the one night it was unalarmed (even though it's locked underground in a patrolled carpark)

You took a huge gamble with no insurance/alarm .. sorry to say, it's just not worth being stingy in that regard.

I might actually look into this gps tracking now myself ..even though I'm told the alarm I have is virtually unbreakable and they'd have to truck the car away if anything.

maybe some news comming up . I got my spies out and I now have all u guys on the lookout plus all the towies statewide, A number of wreckers keeping an eye on the parts comming in and a local lad or two that have checkered pasts in the repo rebirth industry.

I only have myself to blame for not insuring the car.

the gps is a good idea even if its towed u will find it.

guys keep an eye out i know its probably in a garage somewhere but u just never know.

Thank you all once again i will keep u posted.

down at my Earlwood clinic to-day, so still looking!

and if I find him, I'll be glad to resurrect my martial arts from rustiness!

but if I find them, I can still run > report it!

glad to refund the $1K right back to you Wes!

I hope you find it man, it sucks to have something stolen from you...

Just a quick question, why didn't you have insurance? Not even 3rd party fire and _theft_. And with no alarm and you clearly park it outside. With 20 grand owing on it ... yikes man. You must have had a brain fart or something. Sorry for being a bit negative.

    • Bummer...yeah i "need" something to "ease" up the work and for my driving it would be enough.    Iam counting the tune "without" turbo. I do not mean "cheap" like something from Temu around 200 USD, "Cheap" is something around 1000 USD?
    • Starter motors used to use the weight of metal (magnets) to provide torque. Now they use (more) current instead. This. It's completely normal.
    • So thing that had me stumped, but I think is OK....is that when it was up in the air, in neutral I had it running to bleed to coolant while I put the wheels back on. I noticed the rears were turning (slowly) which I'd never seen before 20250928_163512.mp4     Because there had been an issue with clutch slip due to pedal adjustment on the dyno, I assumed there was still and issue so spent some quality time upside down under the dash adjusting the pedal....but no matter what I did the wheels still turned in neutral. Even disconnected the master cylinder to pedal rod and same. In despair, I even removed the clutch slave so there was no chance of any preload causing it.....still happened. So either: 1. Something is not right in the bellhousing, or 2. Its a thing sometimes with cold, thick gearbox oil Internet says it might be 2, I hope so!
    • OK, few more things sorted and it is ready for a shakedown on 10-Oct, with one weird thing. Changed the run in oil and filter for the good stuff. 8l came out, about 8.5 went in with filter so that looks all good. Changed the starter (again), this time for a brand new one, works good. Interesting that the Taaaarks one is shorter than factory but spins harder, I guess electronics have moved on a little in the last 30 years. Will be nice to have a bit of extra space under there. Put the timing cover back on, and noted where the cam gears were set as a record.  Will need to double check the timing but it is pretty close. Also put the coil pack cover and intake snorkel back on. Exhaust Inlet Changed the water out for coolant, bled up nicely. Removed the rear brake pads (well worn factory sumitomo ones!), gave the hardware a good clean and reassembled. I've put bendix XP on the back again because the price is excellent at $150 a set and they worked well on the V37. Front pads have plenty so no issue there
