I had 2 of my 18 x 10" BBS LM rims repaired at Extensive Wheel & Rim Services for $200 per rim although mine had a clear layer on them that cost more. They took a week to fix them.

In regards to getting $ from the council you will need to take photos of the pothole including measurements of its depth, length & width. You should report it to them prior to making a claim as well. Ironically Fifth Gear did a segment on this just last month (s16e05). In the UK they have over 40 million pounds set aside to pay out victims of potholes so you may be in with a chance. Over there the pothole had to be at least 40mm deep. It would be worth enquiring about it.

Nah, no way i'm driving all the way back down there to inspect the 1000s of potholes for the one I hit. Would cost me as much in fuel as it would be to get it fixed.

Anyway, dropped it at wheel works this arvo, should be ready tomorrow and cost me $132. Extensive were busy and could only get it done by friday.

If it ends up needing to be welded it'll be another 3 days and $80 (or something, can't remember) because it will need to be heat treated.

    • That's one of the reasons I got that breed, they look weird, the other reasons are they small, they are very vocal, and run around like they are on crack, I didn't want a breed that just sits around, these two are like kids on red cordial  My daughter has one, and it's a laugh riot, constantly doing Parkour around the house, sits on her shoulder, plays catch, and constantly runs around the house taking turns chasing the dog around, her Bermese though, just lays around with constant bitch face, and just looks on in utter disgust at the cat and dog playing together

That said, some days you'll just never beat genetics, but 99% of the time dogs chasing cats is purely lack of socialisation, and then the chasing part can turn into prey drive.
