If he has a record of driving offences then throw the book at him but this article tells you 0 about his driving history. If he has no prior violations why would you punish him so harshly. Its an accident, accidents happen.

My 2c

Dead set though, he rolled the thing. That's not something that just 'happens' accidentally on the road is it? He must have been driving pretty damn recklessly to achieve that kinda result. Sure we all give it a squirt here and there, but jeez....

It says he spun out hit a kerb and then a low wall. You don't really need to be going any significant speed to roll a car after that. Nobody really knows whats gone on we're all just speculating and anything can happen on the roads. Just because he flipped it doesn't automatically make him an idiot. He got what he deserved but some of the reactions on here are way over the top. Everyone acts like an idiot sometimes its just most of the time we get away with it.

i dont know why everyone get all angry at this shit

i know that everyone i know that owns a sports car has or does take risk at some point.

i myself take risks everyday. coz i spent the f**king money and i can drive my car how ever the f**k i want

and if i crash it, its my problem not yours. and if someone gets hurt that is still ym problem and i would be the one doing the time.

so whats the point saying things like "whoever was driving this deservers to be in prison" WHY?.. coz he took a risk and crashed. well. sorry we've all had close calls when the tiniest thing different and our car would of ended up liek this 33. just got to make sure you know what your doing and have assessed the situation before you drop clutch in 2nd and sit on limiter around a corner :)

i say f**k it. bad luck he ruined his car. and glad he's ok that all i can say.

You have got to be kidding right!!!!!!!!!!! :ermm::D:laugh::down::down::down::down:

If you hurt someone else its not just ur problem... Its that persons MUM, DAD, BROTHER, SISTER, WIFE, COUSIN, GRANDMA,GRANDDAD problem as well as theirs... Do I make a point?

And It is not your right to drive a car like a idiot on the road because you bought it. IT IS NOT YOUR ROAD. Go to a track..

Any one that talks, acts or drives like this is not a enthusiast just a wanker so sell the Skyline and stop giving us a bad name!! :)

yes i understand that.

but who's road is it?.. it aint the cops road. they just patrol it. so i am pretty sure its safe to say i can do what i want

AND everyone that i have ever done anything in front of seems to yell things like "f**k yea" and "skid it" or "that was sweet"... if i hear "your a f**kwit" its usually from a 70yr old camry driver.

but hey i hardly speed i dont drink drive and i rarely put myself at risk of hitting anyone or another car.

:) ..... this thread is going places

on another note, I am off to MT Cotton to thrash the shit out of a porsche tomorrow at a performance driver training day before taking my R35 on the track next month. May I suggest TIR60 that you take your aggressive driving off public roads as well? you would probably enjoy your car more at the track!

yes i understand that.

Your an idiot, it is not your road, its not the cops road either that has nothing to do with it, its shared with everyone and everyone pays for it, and to say you can do what you want is just plain stupid, you sound like a knob. I think once you actually kill someone and its like a child and all because your'e an argonaut douche and decided to drift around a corner in a suburban area because after all "the road is yours" since you the only one who pays for it and only one who uses it. I hope you loose your licence soon, because you definitely shouldn't be driving. You sound like a f**ken 5 year old dood, grow the f**k up!!!!!!!!!!

Its not a right to drive on public roads, its a privilege and this is a privilege that can be taken away from you. So keep going because the sooner your off the road the better, somehow I think your views my change a little once you're a paraplegic and watch your whole family suffer and try to pick up your bill.

So Good luck to you. :)

What if it is ME you hit? Then is it my problem?

GTF off the road. Seriously.

I suddenly feel prison is appropriate for road rule breakers... At least some of them, none in particular though.

Yeah, I'm starting to feel like prison might not be such a bad idea.

yes i understand that.

lmao, words can't begin describe how much of a dipshit you are. maybe its time for you to take your posting rights back to boostcruising, you'll fit right in over there.

i agree with 99 GTT.

i don't care about the driver, i feel sorry for the car (which looks like it was a nice skyline), any innocent bystanders who could have been hit, and anyone stupid enough to have been in the passenger seat.

gaol is no deterrent. some people prefer to be in gaol than outside - how is it a deterrent for them?

and as for 'who's road is it' - that's not the point - the point is if you drive like a muppet you can kill someone else or render them a vegetable, and that's not your problem, that's their problem, and their family's problem etc. the courts aren't going to bring back someone's wife/daughter/father etc once you've run them over. you may not be making a contribution to society, but what if you hit someone decent and worthwhile? that's what concerns me. or what if you destroy a good skyline?

if you drive like an idiot get off the road. you should be shown no mercy.

plus you can always go to the track and roll your skyline there if you really have to.

    • Hi,  Just joined the forum so I could share my "fix" of this problem. Might be of use to someone. Had the same hunting at idle issue on my V36 with VQ35HR engine after swapping the engine because the original one got overheated.  While changing the engine I made the mistake of cleaning the throttle bodies and tried all the tricks i could find to do a throttle relearn with no luck. Gave in and took it to a shop and they couldn't sort it. Then took it to my local Nissan dealership and they couldn't get it to idle properly. They said I'd need to replace the throttle bodies and the ecu probably costing more than the car is worth. So I had the idea of replacing the carbon I cleaned out with a thin layer of super glue and it's back to normal idle now. Bit rough but saved the car from the wreckers 🤣
    • After my last update, I went ahead with cleaning and restoring the entire fuel system. This included removing the tank and cleaning it with the Beyond Balistics solution, power washing it multiple times, drying it thoroughly, rinsing with IPA, drying again with heat gun and compressed air. Also, cleaning out the lines, fuel rail, and replacing the fuel pump with an OEM-style one. During the cleaning process, I replaced several hoses - including the breather hose on the fuel tank, which turned out to be the cause of the earlier fuel leak. This is what the old fuel filter looked like: Fuel tank before cleaning: Dirty Fuel Tank.mp4   Fuel tank after cleaning (some staining remains): Clean Fuel Tank.mp4 Both the OEM 270cc and new DeatschWerks 550cc injectors were cleaned professionally by a shop. Before reassembling everything, I tested the fuel flow by running the pump output into a container at the fuel filter location - flow looked good. I then fitted the new fuel filter and reassembled the rest of the system. Fuel Flow Test.mp4 Test 1 - 550cc injectors Ran the new fuel pump with its supplied diagonal strainer (different from OEM’s flat strainer) and my 550cc injectors using the same resized-injector map I had successfully used before. At first, it idled roughly and stalled when I applied throttle. Checked the spark plugs and found that they were fouled with carbon (likely from the earlier overly rich running when the injectors were clogged). After cleaning the plugs, the car started fine. However, it would only idle for 30–60 seconds before stalling, and while driving it would feel like a “fuel cut” after a few seconds - though it wouldn’t fully stall. Test 2 – Strainer swap Suspecting the diagonal strainer might not be reaching the tank bottom, I swapped it for the original flat strainer and filled the tank with ~45L of fuel. The issue persisted exactly the same. Test 3 – OEM injectors To eliminate tuning variables, I reinstalled the OEM 270cc injectors and reverted to the original map. Cleaned the spark plugs again just in-case. The stalling and “fuel cut” still remained.   At this stage, I suspect an intermittent power or connection fault at the fuel pump hanger, caused during the cleaning process. This has led me to look into getting Frenchy’s fuel hanger and replacing the unit entirely. TL;DR: Cleaned and restored the fuel system (tank, lines, rail, pump). Tested 550cc injectors with the same resized-injector map as before, but the car stalls at idle and experiences what feels like “fuel cut” after a few seconds of driving. Swapped back to OEM injectors with original map to rule out tuning, but the issue persists. Now suspecting an intermittent power or connection fault at the fuel pump hanger, possibly cause by the cleaning process.
    • For race cars, this is one part where I find having the roll cage bar having gone through a hole in the floor better than the build it up on a ledge inside... The Merc I help on, the main hoop ends are marked on the car, and the jack is marked... Jack goes under a few inches and lifts one whole side of the car up... Removes that fight for long slim jacks for race car duties!   My biggest issue for the daily drivers I work on, is my jacks don't go high enough. The jacks start out on a few blocks, jack it up, then start a second jack under it on more blocks, and then I can get an axle stand under it. My axle stands are presently in use, and are nearly fully extended. The car is sitting with barely more than a cm of clearance to get the wheel off the studs! Sarah's Kluger is the same, as it has an ungodly amount of droop available in the suspension and a distinct lack of good jacking points!
    • Happy? Yep, my to do list is getting shorter and shorter. Either this light approaching is the end of the tunnel, or I'm about to be hit by a train... Ha ha ha   Also, Duncan isn't that far out of town that you need to make a multi day drive out of it. 😛
