Im sure Ron is real appreciative of all the thoughts and concerns that go out to him.

Bam, Erik n myself plus a few others here know him personally and once again, i might be repeating something already said, don't post unless u know for sure what you're talking abt.

This is a sensitive issue and what he is going thru, you cannot even begin to imagine so pls do not act like a know-all.

Racing is dangerous no doubt but if u said you've nv done it, your voice will be falling on deaf ears. Dont even bother.

Best now is to pray for them that perished, for Ron's swift recovery, for God's strenght to help the parents of the perished ones endure it. Not knock anyone and make stories.

Anyways, i does make you think twice owning a fast car eh initialD...a real jolt back into reality.

Pray for them and their respective families.

Sorry to say this guys, but over the next week or so, people will spread more stories of what happened etc. Try to ignore it. From past experiences (i've lost a couple of mates in car crashes (mainly fatigue + speed)) you can try to explain things to people, but it often falls on deaf ears.

We've all done bad things, some of us get lucky and learn from it, some never get that chance and unfortuneately scenes like this will be repeated EVERY DAY.

Its a very sad fact of life....

Very well said streamer and I wish a quick recovery for those injured and peace for those passed.

My only comment is that a fast car is a joy to have but without someone pressing the throttle it is no quicker than a slow one.

The attitude to speed and knowledge of the dangers is sometimes hard learned....

Once again , I feel for those left behind:grouphug:

Ken

Ive seen quite a few accidents lately .... quite fatal and serious ones ..... also drove past one this morning. Really seems like theres some bad karma floating around lately .... so just be a little more cautious on the road everyone.

Bam & Erik & Everyone else that was close to the people involved in this tragic accident ..... my thoughts n prayers are with you and their families.

Just remember everyone it doesnt matter the circumstances surrounding the accident ..... even if the guy was going really silly in his car ..... noone deserves to die!! So just cut the speculation and show some respect!

Rest In Peace

:grouphug:

First of all let me say that i really feel for all those that knew the victims of this accident. My honest and heartfelt condolences once again. *bows head*

Now on the other hand (absolutely dont want to be disrespectful) Skylinesaustralia has always tried to uphold an image of responsibility to the rest of the world.

Many people talk about things like this happening (incident of the BMW doing the same thing, similar circumstance, similar result) but never believe that it would happen so close to home to people we know.

Events like this are avoidable and thats why we go to great lenghts to have training days, track days etc etc, where ppl can play silly buggers in a safe, controlled environment. The turn out for these events is usually very low. However i think this kind of experience and training is invaluable in emergency situations, a few hours on a skidpan could save your life.

If we learn anything from this event its that we are not invincible and that a few thin strips of metal are not going to protect us from a lifetime of pain, can u imagine the pain the driver must feel right now knowing that he killed two of his friends. It must be horrible not to mention the famlies. This kind of event can destroy the lives of not only the people in the car but the friends and families aswell.

Be responsible guys, dont let the head between ure legs drive ure car.

Argh, in light of the fact that you have probably upset some kru, perhaps you might like to consider editing the first post.

incidentally, the notion that a car snapped a lamp post in half is ludicrous. they're designed top be frangible so that they tip over when cars hit them.

the same should go for any trees inside the "clear zone", which along leach highway would be about 8m wide.

    • I have more than enough digging, laying blocks, moving gravel, airrating, feeding and top soiling the grass, and setting up the veggie gardens growing some seedlings,  and then removing all the unused rock to keep me busy for the next few months at least,  hopefully the rain stops soon so I can get a few hours in this arvo, but, before that Sunday is washing day, is every body happy, you bet your life we are Nice country road day drives are a day off whenever I'm muscle sore from all the landscaping at the moment, but, more epic multiple day drives will start once the majority of the big jobs outside are completed
    • I hear that would involve some nice country road drives into the hills for Mark...
    • I thought I'd come back and add something I JUST learned. A Toyota LandCruiser with a 1HZ, mates perfectly with a bottle of Nulon brake fluid. As in, it perfectly screws in. Great make shift funnel when you cut the bottom of it off. This may work for your Corolla.   Unfortunately, tipping a 10L drum is much harder than a 4 to 6L bottle, and they no longer include the easy pour tap which was just perfection to use previously.
    • Guys since i bought r33 gts25t coupe 1994 automatic a/t(manual swap 350z gearbox)  all i got is problems, always problems. Lets start with that when i turn key into ignition(ON) fuel pump doesnt always works. Sometimes i have to turn key twice Off/on/off/on until it primes. Its new, dw300 - 340lph. My gearbox broke so i did gearbox swap, install different intake manifold, injectors and i take pipes. Car was sitting in garage for more than half a year. I did assembly all not that long ago and when i turn ignition cant hear prime. All of sudden it stopped working. Theres many videos on YouTube how to make relay mod on r33 straight from battery so i did and it doesnt work! 😰 30 - battery positive  87 - positive from fuel pump to relay 85, 86 - one of two wires from original fuel pump wires(light blue, grey) and it didn’t work. so I check on ignition and took original BLUE relays wires from trunk, next to fuses. (I believe it’s IGN+ and ECU pin 18. it didn’t work…  tried connecting (IGN+ from og relay) and (ECU 104 from 1of4 FPCM wires) to my new relay 85/86 and it didn’t work.  I unplug FPCM. Didn’t work. im thinking what’s wrong   fuel pump is working, if I leave IGN+ on 85 and 86 straight to ground it works but it’s just nonstop. Since it getting constant 12v after key in ON. light blue wire gives me 6-8v.  so how this should be connected? What causing ECU not giving — on pin? Or I did sth wrong and that’s why it doesn’t work? I need negative signal on ECU that control fuel pump. What this should be?
    • You can use your VIN to look up the factory part number somewhere like amayama, and then look to order new if necessary. https://www.amayama.com/en/genuine-catalogs/nissan Depending on price you might want to rebuild instead. @GTSBoy I had an interesting insight into US market parts when the Titan rear calipers were sticking. New calipers were dirt cheap, about 20% more than a rebuild kit....they are just considered throw away maintenance items
