Leewah's car is rad. Film at 11...

Recommended Posts

There you go Dave - the mightiest of the purple R's gets props once more.

For those who forgot - it's featured in the current issue of HPI - and whores up the SAU site with a big sticker on the splitter.

Also - speaking of purple '33s...

A friend just bought one (genuine series 3 V-Spec), and on the way home for seeing him, I saw Golgo's twin (purple with bronze TE37's) parked on Chapel. Are there any more out there? I'd like to get them all together for a photo :D

Haha - I'ts like a spot news update on TV.

'Thousands killed in N-Sync riot... film at 11'

or

'Manned mission to Venus succeeds... here's Tom with the weather'

Remind me to lend you 'Kentucky Fried Movie' on DVD. It be darn amusing - use the 'ol 'Film at 11' gag to good effect. Then it will all make sense. Will get 'Blue Murder' also...

Nigel's result on the weekend was pretty ordinary. :)

He couldn't even crack 500rwkw.:D

Yeah, Nige's result was a bit of a pissweak effort.

He didn't crack 500rwkw but I guess he got close... It made 498.5.

On the other hand though, no gas was involved.

Should be an interesting run if we make it out this weekend.

Leewah .... any chance to see you and Niege racing side by side, or isn't there enough Nittos to do that  :)

......... or you both can use them on rear only :D

There is a chance and it is likely you may see the Supra and GTR go head to head when we hit the track.

It has been worked out how it'll happen.

Hopefully it'll make some nice footage and memories for the generations to come that smaller workshops can put out big cars.

Hey Jack, feel like taking some footage on the weekend?? You can do an in car shot of GTR Vs Supra action...

Awesome Leewah, if ur at Heathcote this weekend ill make sure 100% that i can come down, wanna see the beast in action, missed it the last time u were there and dont wanna this time hehe...:)...ill give u a challenge hehe, but i doubt ill get anywhere lol

    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
    • You have a knack for photography my friend. It makes the 86 look like a complete bucket. The 34 went with you to Europe and back. It's special. (we all feel the same about our 'shitboxes' that every bystander seems to absolutely love)
    • It's been quite the ordeal but hey, at least you figured it out.
    • The final part arrived today to un-clampify and simplify the intake Who would have though a 1/2" hose stainless bulkhead fitting designed for below waterline bilge pumps would be what I needed Test fit on a 3" offcut I had laying around to see if it would work, and it worked a treat All going well the intake will be on its "final version" tomorrow
