Stock turbo on a "happy" dyno then yes, possible. In reality it's more like 270-280hp.

I maxed the exhaust side of my 25 turbo with only 250rwhp, more left in the compressor but the exhaust housing just couldn't flow enough.

so ansure is yes around about 300hp

That's pretty much the absolute maximum, and yes each dyno is slightly different, but I've seen it on a couple cars. Most will achieve 260-280rwhp max, cause most people don't want to destroy there engine/turbo by what is require to get to 300rwhp :)

having a heated discution with a mate.. would like to get your opinion..

on a r33 rb25det

can you get 300rwhp?

i say yes...

full turbo back system

front mount intercooler

intake

aftermarket piggy back ecu

boost controler...

what do you think..... ?

No with those mods you listed, yes with other mods such as intake plenum, injector cam upgrades etc.

1/4 mile times are not a good measure of power at all!!!

Theres like way too many factors come into account...

Just by changing tyres / pressure results in lower times...

Dynos are just a BENCHMARK to Measure the cars power output 'not performance'.

Well I got 292.9rwhp on stock turbo, so close enough is good enough. Tell your mate that.

I'm sure if you check the rb25 dyno results thread you will find some stock turbo readouts around the 300rwhp figure.

who cares about the power figure you run on a dyno...

it's about how drivable the car is and how well you can drive it, s**t if i gave my dad 500hp to my 250 i would still whoop his arse...

decide what you want and tell your mate that power figures are for tools in V8's without a penis :D

why is e85 even been mentioned in this thread when it isnt available in WA?

Because the question is "CAN YOU GET 300RWHP WITH STOCK TURBO?"

There is no mention of WA resources only!

Besides i am sure you could get E85 sent over.

    • The fancy pants red shock tower brace is finally incoming from MX5 Mania, getting it shipped from 'Merica has been a long and problematic process, and GWR, the 'Merican supplier will not ship directly to consumers outside of the US, Mania basically had to order a heap of them, the colour choice was silver, or red, and we all know anything red adds 5 killerwasps of dynotorques..... Whilst it does fit over a 2.5, and I've seen a few photos and videos of it being installed and fitting, google also says it might get real close to the FAB9 intake front runner, people in the US says it does fit with the FAB9 intake, except for one person who said it slightly touched.......so there is that.....LOL..... As it seems that I am the first in AU to have this combination of parts there's no local knowledge about fitment, so I'm just a willing guinea pig in this endeavour, I'll cross my fingers and toes and hope for the best In other news, I ordered stuff from China  on the same day I ordered the 23° silicone bend from Victoria, the stuff from China arrived a day ago, the 23° silicone bend is still travelling around Australia thanks to Australia Post, and "may" be here next week
    • Very good news...I contacted Racebox about it last night. My car is a 2016 so remains to be seen if it is compatible, requires a TCU swap, or is impossible.
    • What ECU are you running? This is probably the biggest question. If it's a PowerFC, I'd probably change the ECU and get something newer that will handle the injectors in a nicer way.
