I recently bought a R34 and when I first bought it, the cabin smelt like "stock". And I'd like to keep that smell (might sound weird, I know) lol.

So I'm just wondering what products can I use to keep that smell? I've heard people in Japan have a "stock smell" car freshener? lol

^^^ lol

Whats febreze? Does it just eliminate odor? Or does it have a fragrance smell to it?

Nissan make a heap of products for this.

Just go down and order a new seat and dash combo pack!!!

Sorry, otherwise I'm with Terry, but lets face it you don't really love your car if you don't fart in it at least once a day...............sorta shows your appreciation.

ifya go down to certain car washes, they have vacuums ect and some have the one where you can spray your interior fabrics with smells like lemon, strawberry and 'new car smell'...its mad...doesnt last all that long though but still good =] i had something in the garage which cleans seats and smells like a new car ill check tomorro, i know you can pick it up from supercheap and stuff.

haha thats cool, i asked the previous owner of the car, he reckons he used a range of different types of products to detail the interior, and thats how the car still smell like stock.

Borrow a steam cleaner from Bunnings for half the day, throw a conditioner into the water, and just get into it. That'll make sure all the shart stains are gone

Then just use a new car scent hanger from supercheap in there and hey presto!

    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
