I still think that getting a good 2400W inverter and pumping 240v out of the steering wheel and grounded through the gear stick, after the alarm has been activated of course...!

that'll make sure they get a fking good jolt right through the heart! certainly wont be trying to steal another car anytime soon...

Gah.....can you imagine cleaning up the mess after? Car would smell like burnt flesh for quite a while! :P

why not just use an electric fence device instead packs a hell of a punch if you get one for big animals.

And you can get a good one that runs on two D size torch batteries, so only 3 volt supply, we have one and it kicks hard.

Just set it up and turn it on from the boot or something.

Actually I have a Braille battery isolator in the boot, this thing has a remote control, so point and press for on/off. So you could use something like that for the electric fence unit.

Mount in boot, run wires to front of car and attach to steering wheel/door handle/seat/gear knob etc, in boot hook power to unit through Braille isolator to battery, use remote to turn off and on.........uumm very doable. Need a 12v unit though, but a lot of them are, usually see them with a car battery hooked up and a solar panel out in the paddock somewhere.

Hey everyone. I saw these pricks as well!

Last week, my mate and I were taking out the rubbish at work when we saw these little sods pull up next to his car, had a look, then onto mine. We started to walk over, but surprize, surprize, they took off quick smart.

We are parked on a very busy road, so they have no problems being out in public.

Lucky for me I have a pager alarm, so if these little sods come back i will know.

BTW, the timing was amazing as i barely even drive my car during the week. Lucky me gets to take the Mrs car, a brand new XR5.

Lets hope they all get hit by a bus...

You'd definately need some way to turn it on/off at will, the number of times people working on my car have set the alarm off...well you wouldn't want to eletrocute them in the process!!

Hey everyone. I saw these pricks as well!

Was it the same car? White N14 Nissan Pulsar SSS? Loud exhaust?

Maybe it's not stolen then, if they're still driving it around... surely you wouldnt be dumb enough to drive a stolen car around for days and days :)

Pity we dont have a numberplate!

I'm not even going to mention what shops I do and dont go to... but lets just say I wont be going to Erindale anytime soon :D I would have thought that carpark would be alright given there's roads going around all of it (ie there's no "dark corner" type of thing).

No carpark is safe, we should all know and understand this. Considering my last skyline was flogged from the top floor of Tuggeranong Hyperdome, which is the staff/long stay carpark, which is behind a SECOND boomgate mid afternoon, while it was parked out in the open within clear site of mall entrances....

Good work mate, didnt happen to actually get the plates did ya? If it was the same guys, the shits clearly aren't too bothered that they've come close to being busted once already, maybe this stakeout isn't such a bad idea after all....at least to get their number plate when you chase the shits off

Didn't see any P plates on it. It's funny, i know the first thing you have to do in that situation is get the number plates but when i saw what was happening i sprinted for my car and there was not much thought involved. I seriously doubt that if that was their own car that they wouldn't at least have stolen plates on it, but if they are stupid enough to be driving around in their own car with their own plates then i hope like hell the idiots get caught.

Glad to hear that at least people are keeping their eyes out, you can't be too careful. I still have no idea whether they were already trolling the car park looking for cars to break into, or if perhaps they saw me on the road, followed me in and waited for me to leave.

    • Hi 🙋‍♂️. Just bought my Unicorn but the interior need some minor work so it would match my expectations ;). I noticed it is hard to get used oem floor mats in good condition so i started to dig if there's any chance to buy set of new ones. I found two websites - nengun and amayama and it looks like one can still buy factory new floor mats in Japan, but thers a small issue. Some mats (i assume genuine, oem ones) are marked as G4900 and these are "discontinued". The ones you can buy are marked as G4911 but i have no idea if these are also oem, made by other producer or some lower quality replacements that looks entirely different. Can anyone help? 😃  P.s. there is also some strange indication - 0V005, 0V015 and 0V505. Any idea what does it mean? Would appreciate any help with this 🙏
    • Hi, Marek here 🙋‍♂️. I finally fulfilled my longtime dream - recently bought Stagea and now waiting for it to arrive in Poland. There's only few of these in my country, and one of the owners  recommended mi this forum as a source of all the info i'd need since now i own one  so here i am.
    • Version 1 aluminium airbox is.......not acceptable No pics as I "didn't like the look.....alot" Even after all my "CAD", and measurements, the leg near the fusebox just didn't sit right as it ended up about 10mm long and made the angle of the dangle look wrong, the height was a little short as well, meh, I wasn't that confident that Version 1 was going to be an instant winner I might give Version 2 another go, there's plenty of aluminium at work, but, after having in on and off a few times, and laying in the old OEM airbox without the new pod filter and MAF, there may be an option to modify the OEM air box and still use the Autoexe front cover and filter.... maybe This >  Needs to fit in here, but using the panel, and not the pod, the MAF will need to fit in the airbox though> I'm thinking as the old OEM box and Autoexe cover that is sitting in the shed is just sitting around doing nothing, and they are relatively abundant and cheap to replace if I mess it up and need another, it may well fit with some modifications to how the Autoexe brackets mounts to the rad support, and some dremiling to move it get in there, should give me some more room for activities, as I don't want to move the MAF and affect the tune Sealing the hole it requires to stick it in the air box is simple, a tight fit and some pinch weld will seal it up tight  I am calling this a later problem though
    • and it ends up being already priced in as though you're just on 91RON without any ethanol. Car will lose a bit of economy as the short and long term fuel trims bring down the AFR back to stoich or whatever it is for cruise/idle for the engine.
    • Oh, you are right. But, in Australia E10 is based on 91RON fuel and ends up being 94RON. Hence it being the cheaper option for economy cars. The more performance oriented cars go for the 98RON fuel that has no ethanol mixed in. The only step up we have left then at some petrol stations is E85.
