hey wassup guys i have recently invested in a n/a r34 and the question i want to know is why are all people that buy commodores so ignorant to n/a skyline owners? i have since met people that say "whats the point of buying a skyline thats not even turboed' (hence quoted by a commonwhore driver) they also said "my car would beat any n/a skyline in 1st".

So what i want to know is why are most commonwhore drivers ignorant to n/a skyline owners? and how should i deal with this person that i have to work with and if you guys have had any problems with this issue.

cheers jarrod

Just like to say that i've got a bombadore and all its good for is burnouts and first gear drifting although fun definatly no where near as good as any nissan, i've got everything done to it, its a six as well n/a and the shit box cant even do second and i've gone through 3 gear boxes trying lol what kind of car is that a joke maybe but seriously shit anyway if i didn't LOVE GTR's so much i'd have a gts as well but i guess you get what you pay for, as for the people givin ya a hard time just bring up bathurst and the whole 91 and 92 supremesy NISSAN OWENED THEM ALL, as an engine though the neo kills any ecotec and after market support is in the fist fulls so just pump a bit of coin into it then tell them man up on the quater. FAITH in the "dan u" 'nis' "san" piece icon10.gif

other than the fact that you sound like a muppet, i think you need to learn how to do skids better. commodores are the in thing where i live and i've seen plenty of them able to fry second gear.

also you would know that commodore gearing is much taller than skyline gearing, hence why it is slightly harder to do skids in higher gears.

and the nissan winning at bathurst thing is pretty pointless as anyone with half a brain knows that you can't directly compare a full blown group A car to a road car

but back on topic, the easiest thing to say to a commodore driver is "have you ever driven one? and when they say no, reply with "well until you have actually driven one, you aren't exactly in a position to say whether they are good or not. racing against one doesn't mean a thing because that person may not have been able to drive for shit"

I say the exact same thing. The only NA Skylines worth buying are V35 350GTs or KPGC10s.

So what i want to know is why are most commonwhore drivers ignorant to n/a skyline owners?

Ignorant? They're not the guys who bought a non turbo R34. Giving you crap for it, as impolite as it is, puts them on the correct side of the "should I have bought a RBxxDE powered car?" question.

ffs, not another one of these threads. :P

+1 ;)

its a stupid comparison, how can u compare a 4litre car to a 2.5lt, even tho a lot of N/A skylines can do better than commodores. and for v8 drivers complaining about turbo being "cheating" is jus stupid. the fact that a well tuned 2.5 straight 6 can beat a 5.7 or 6lt v8 is too much for them to take..

f*&k, wat am i tlkin about,,jus read the other thread about this.

+ 1 on the pointless RBXXDE argument - Its like when Miss R34 had her car at the local car show, and a fair few people were interested in it (bogans) until a mate told em that it was a NON turbo lol.

:)

Even with the bonnet open at a car show they probably wouldnt be able to tell the difference

lol well they assumed that with all the fancy wheels, graphics and front bar that it had to be something special, they were disappointed though lol.

To me having an N/A other than a Dirty 30 classic Skyline or V35 is kind of like doing a chick who's had a double masectomy. Sure its a female still, but it's just not the same, and it feels like there are a few things missing.

    • That's awesome. Fully serviced/full log book history for one of those cars is super rare from what I know. With JDM's like Skyline's, Supras, are quite hard to find one with full log book history. S15's seem to be somewhat of an exception, at least the spec s australian delivered models.
    • Hey all, It's been a bit since I have been able to update.  I pulled the fuel pump, first off it was a "universal" pump and the strainer was very clogged, and it was folded over on itself.  I replaced the fuel pump and all is well....  No more stalling.
    • That's convinced me I'll bump up the G30-660 to 770   Any idea if the difference in boost pressure? Cheers

    • Hey guys so turns out this project is going to be much bigger than I thought haha but I've done some my homework and have done a few panels on my car, but one part I can just not visualise is this. If I do a spot repair and I put filler in a dent for example and sand outside of the repair with 320 grit lets say so the primer can stick as I will only put primer on that repair and the surrounding area and then repaint the whole panel. Don't I need to make sure that I don't put primer on the old clear coat? I keep seeing YouTube videos where people have new paint and primer land on the old clearcoat that isn't even dulled down, it's still shiny. I thought putting paint on clearcoat or primer on clearcoat is a bad idea because it won't stick. So in this scenario it's a bit different to mine but imagine someone doing a spot repair and only painting that small section of repair but the new paint is landing on the old clearcoat. What am I missing?
