Yeah, once again, suggest places to go visit, with awesome scenery, good dinners and stuff. I can even take a flight to Sydney or Brisbane for her birthday. The whole cook for the girlfriend at home with candlelight and all doesn't work anymore since i cook for her all the time, dinner at home isn't special anymore, i've run out of things to cook anyway.

Suggestions! I have a budget of say, $500 to burn on this celebration. Not inclusive of airfare if needed, that can be extra. Sigh, i'm asking because i've only been here for like 3 months, so i'm still fairly unfamiliar with the place. This whole thing will take place on the 14th and 15th of November, so i've got time to get things sorted.

What about Mount Dandenong? There's a restaurant there called Skyhigh, I was gonna take my girlfriend there for her birthday.

But now I'm taking her out for dinner down in Mornington Peninsula, then I booked a private mineral bath down in Rye (Peninsula Hot Springs), then gonna take her down to Rye beach and spend some time there :whistling:

Mornington Peninsula is nice, I've rented a house there for a couple of nights this Easter and last Easter break. Beaches there are nice, good views from the holiday houses, and as Charles said the Hot Springs are a good place to go.

ask her ? but in a sneaky way.... heard this guy do it on the radio ...

tell her you have a day booked for you two, and then get her to write down her guess's and what you have planned just to see how close she is.

then use those idea's and make a day of it .... birthdays and xmas are no longer a head ache!

cause obviously she is writing down what she likes and wants.....

What happens if she writes down the same thing everytime? lol

Then birthdays and xmas just becomes a routine :(

Brekky from the B&B you stay at....

RACV site lists heaps... budget 450ish for two nights, you want a self contained cottage with spa and log fire.

If needed I can suggest accommodation too :(

We had a fantastic time. Spa, open fire. Ultimate romantic place.

Went up to sky high for dinner. Will cost you about $260 a night on fridays/saturdays or $195 during the week.

Highly recommended

just come to my place, will watch the fast and the furious

Loll

anyway back on topic..,i thought skyhigh was pretty good wen i took the lady there, for 500 bucks i'd say do a full day thing and take her to a few places,,and enjoy the drives in between :P ,,but yeh its the spending time together part thats important, so jus try goin to places where theres a lot to do

have fun,chief

How bout Apollo Bay.... Nice drive there along great ocean rd.. Then stay somewhere nice.. Some cool stuff to see around there to in the ottaway ranges.....

I was planning on renting a sports car and doing this for my gf's bday, but no one rents out a new mustang :P

I just did peninsula hot springs with my girlfriend. Massage and bath and then had lunch at Rye. Hot springs massage and bathe is like 125 each peak season.

How did that go? I'm going there on thursday night :)

    • By popular demand.. it was a coil. Got my hands on 1 new OEM coil, replaced with the one that made the less noise difference when I unplugged it while the car was running and started the car up. No stutter and the engine light was gone. I guess I’ll buy the other 5 they have lol
    • No, code 21 is very straightforward. It can only be the things described in that diagnostic flow. In fact it has no way of knowing that the spark plug resistance is out of spec.
    • Hi, SteveL Thank you very much for your reply, you seem to be the only person on the net who has come up with a definitive answer for which I am grateful. The "Leak" was more by way of wet bubbles when the pedal was depressed hard by a buddy while trying to gey a decent pedal when bleeding the system having fitted the rebuilt BM50 back in the car, which now makes perfect sense. A bit of a shame having just rebuilt my BM50, I did not touch the proportioning valve side of things, the BM50 was leaking from the primary piston seal and fluid was running down the the Brake booster hence the need to rebuild, I had never noticed any fluid leaking from that hole previously it only started when I refitted it to the car. The brake lines in the photo are "Kunifer" which is a Copper/Nickel alloy brake pipe, but are only the ones I use to bench bleed Master cylinders, they are perfectly legal to use on vehicles here in the UK, however the lines on the car are PVF coated steel. Thanks again for clearing this up for me, a purchase of a new BMC appears to be on the cards, I have been looking at various options in case my BM50 was not repairable and have looked at the HFM BM57 which I understand is manufactured in Australia.
    • Well the install is officially done. Filled with fluid and bled it today, but didn't get a chance to take it on a test drive. I'll throw some final pics of the lines and whatnot but you can definitely install a DMAX rack in an R33 with pretty minor mods. I think the only other thing I had to do that isn't documented here is grind a bit of the larger banjo fitting to get it to clear since the banjos are grouped much tighter on the DMAX rack. Also the dust boots from a R33 do not fit either fyi, so if you end up doing this install for whatever reason you'll need to grab those too. One caveat with buying the S15 dust boots however is that the clamps are too small to fit on the R33 inner tie rod since they're much thicker so keep the old clamps around. The boots also twist a bit when adjusting toe but it's not a big deal. No issues or leaks so far, steering feels good and it looks like there's a bit more lock now than I had before. Getting an alignment on Saturday so I'll see how it feels then but seems like it'll be good to go
