All good points Pete. I myself went the Nismo route, firstly I got them cheap, second, they are direct bolt up, no mods required and I don't like molesting looms and third, if you're really sneaky you can go through regency with them on. Z32's; no chance

Couldnt you disguise the Z32? The exterior dimensions look very similar to the RB2x ones, so if I took both AFM's to an electrical place couldnt they put in the z32 innards into the RB2x one - I know the Z32 has one more pin, but Im assuming its not required when fitting to an RB. Then as an absolute max I would only have to change the order of wires going to the AFM..

Im just thinking...

Also, can you get nismo ones for the RB20/25?

does anyone want to put a cd player in for me tomorrow or today even?

would like someone down south ways but im not too picky!

I was at my mechanics for some time last night and this morning fixing his dyno dynamics dyno

Got it up and running a couple hours ago. We tested it on a nearby ute, it made a staggering 75kw ;P

Sure its warm today but its not hot... wait till its 45'c, then you can say its hot heh

Slightly warm out, been working on the car since 10am, perhaps just distracted and not noticing it :D

Also caught the top of my foot on the corner of the passengers seat rail while getting out of the back, massive gash and a trip to the doctors :P

    • It's funny, as Ive seen plenty of people use them in cheap builds on YT. And they actually go okay, even though a lot of other maxspeedingrods stuff is terrible. Those turbos seem reliable enough, the only part being, a good quality turbo that is "identical" to it, will out perform it day in and day out. In both a lower boost threshold, and the ability to flow more air at the same boost pressure. As a cheap cheap replacement, not a terrible choice. For cheap and shouldn't blow in a day, not terrible (like other eBay/Temu turbos) for low cost and still decent performance, that's where the question comes in to play from the results I've seen. I'd actually find it hilarious to buy one, and strap it to a paddock basher or some other cheap as POS originally NA car, and send it to the moon!
    • The maxpeedingrods turbo is cheap and bolts on to stock parts. I think you just need a bigger silicone coupler for the intake. Its a cheap china turbo, but it's been running on mine for almost 3 years at 16-19 psi.
    • What do they look like right after you've tried to start it with everything connected? Also post photos of what they actually look like.
