AFAIK, Andrew is a sub-contractor. Meaning he has to pay his own super, his own tax, his own sick leave, holidays, etc. If so that $1200 gets less attractive quickly

Even so, for a full week that's good money :domokun:

I did intend that to come across as a light hearted jab to Andrew, hardly being serious.

We all live within our means so earning less to what you normally do will hurt whatever budget your usual to

I wasn't having a dig at ya, just saying :domokun: It would be all well and good me telling you I earn $2500 a week, but if I'm a subbie, I have costs that come out of that $2500 so the take home is a lot less...

As you said, we live within our means, having your pay cut usually does help. Andrew is lucky his missus works too :D

Yeah Luke is dead right .... for a start I have to give 1/11th of that money back to the Govt as GST, then I pay $10k a year PI Insurance, not to mention run a company, car, phone, computers etc .... but hey, I know it will get busy again when the market heats back up, so at the moment I get to have some family time (went to the Gorge Wildlife park today for 4 hours with the wife and 2 year old) .... and when work gets busy again I go back to 18 hour days like I was doing a couple of years ago.

The joys of running a small business eh? It can be rewarding but you work f**king hard for it too

Went for an interview with geoservices last Friday.

They asked me when I could start if they chose me and if I'd be able to got to France or Singapore for training haha ummmm YES!

Good luck mate, that sounds very promising!

Don't forget PAYG-Is

A place in Salisbury called All Make Motor Repairs & Restorations.

They have a hub-pack dyno, for extremely accurate results. No wheel spin or variable settings like roller dyno's.

214.7 at 5500rpm with a diff ratio of 4.300

Thought he was missing presumed dead like usual i hear?

Last I heard too, that's why I asked  He usually works out of there.

Man would be so frustrating trying to contact him if I had issues with a tune he did

Don't forget PAYG-Is

Nah saddest thing is I am now paying the installments for last fin year's earnings, when I earnt considerably more - is a double knife in the back! No PAYG as I own my own company.

Speaking of pay. Im on roughly 7-800 a week, Then sell parts, order parts for ppl, work on cars. Sometimes ends up around 1k a week, so i aint complaining. Pretty chilled working with parents.

Also some new pics from my build. Someone say seam weld. Fuel cell is all complete, also got the bit where the old fuel tank top lid come up welded up.

Luke

    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
    • Hi.. Just another problem. So maybe you can help. I(my mechanic) done swap from my RB20DE NEO to RB25DET NEO. Everything is OK but we have a boost cut. Coils/Plugs are ok...AFM is ok. ECU is ok. I have Walbro 255 but it "changed" sound few months ago(you can hear it ouside) you did not hear that when it was new(maybe faulty?) Sooo...what now? What can cause this boost cut? It is even when you standing still...
    • Not sure the US can import anything other than the C34 Stagea's, but if you can and you need to to tow, DO NOT under any circumstances get an M35 Stagea. If it is just as a family car and your country/state allows it, absolutely and definitely get an M35 (3.5L if possible as it is effectively a 350Z) over a C34.
