Good riddance to a rubbish clutch

To be honest, it hasnt faired too bad. Its done nearly 50k over 4 years.

Exactly how mine looked when i pulled it out, whats going back in its place

Jim Berry carbide plate. Along with my RB25 and R33 S2 box.

How'd you go getting it all out Dion , struggle much or? Good to see some progress :P

Not too bad. I went to a party last night, got home at some un-godly hour, slept a bit and then went out there with some Corona's lol.

pics of new clutch? and how much?

I dont have it yet. Its roughly around $1k. I'm sending him 2 complete aftermarket clutches to use parts from / trade in aswell (included in that price).

well they are useless to me.... Will cost me $800 for another Xtreme so I might aswell pay $200 more....

he said it will hold 300rwkw and can give it hell - may be able to handle more I dont know, I just said it has to be able to hold that.

why so much?

a NPC i can get for $550 +$30 shipping

will hold 350rwkw and a 1250kg pressure plate but that's ok your the one that needs to be happy with your purchase

Yeah I know, but whatever I do somebody somewhere is always going to say it was the wrong choice. I did consider getting a NPC clutch, and may still do so - nothing is set in concrete yet!

    • If there's enough meat in the housing where you want to put the M12 adapter, then do it, but be aware that if/when you f**k that up you'll probably be repairing it before doing anything else. I'd just drill it out and tap ina 1/4" thread. No need for rocket surgery when the next most obvious thing will do. You could throw a 1/4 x 1/8 bush in there and use the same fitting you intended to use.
    • Is the only issue that the oil catch can is getting filled on hard runs? I'd be thinking more about oil control issues rather then the head lifting, especially as you aren't seeing spiking in the coolant pressure.  Do you need restrictors in the head, or better drains from the head? Does the sump need venting to the catch can?
    • Tried to make 1/8npt threads into compressor house of the turbo for my EBC. Threads got fu#ked and ended up with and elongated hole, so I do have good amount and nice threads 90% of the hole but 10% I only had 1-2threads there and rest of it is flush on that side of the hole.. So my idea is to do M12 x 1.25 to AN4 with braided lines instead of 1/8npt to 4mm vacuum silicone hose.  and hopefully get a better thread. M12 is quite big and AN4 is a little bit bigger than 4mm (4.9mm inner diameter braided PTFE hose). but this should work. Thoughts? Otherwise I will weld and adapter onto the turbo.
