second that motion col, its an awesome shop.

Brendale has gone crazy, so many new building goin up around that estate, drive through there every morning on my way to work

looking at one inthe same complex as allstar tuning and rotary motorsport. terms are whats killing me on these though.

having to outlay $11K straight up is not easy to do. add to that I want 1+2 and most want 2+1 or 3 yrs solid. this is fun

jesus there are some units in brendale. went for a 2 hr cruise last night and found 10 in the space of 30 min. one of which I CAN do if the lease terms are good. its on a major main road as well.. here's hoping.

I'll drop by your shop once you find a spot, I'm getting a GTR, and want to get a laser parking system installed, and possibly audio gear in the future, best of luck finding a place.

TAKE 2!

4/128 Sth Pine Road Brendale (behind JR turk next to solomons carpets across from the truss building factory). its cheaper btw! gave a letter of intent to the agent today.

I know there are a few automotive workshops in the area. I looked at 6 others in the area and those were either tucked off the main road or shells with nothing in them.

I thought this was in a good spot so I went for it.

AND WE HAVE A WINNER!!!!

(the owner of the building took my proposal!! 2yrs + optional year)

stay tuned. I have signage to sort out before I do anything further.

still have to get over the signage hurdle. no point setting this up the way I want if I can't get a sign out front. 90% of business will simply drive past..

but yes its an accomplishment I'm proud of :(

(its taken almost 8 yrs to pull off!)

let me know once your in, would love to swing by with some morning tea + a brewed coffee and catch up

+1 I would be up for that too Col. Congrats Chris it's been a long time coming. Start brainstorming for your opening specials! :(

already working on that. ( it won't be anything too dramatic - still have rent to pay.)

considering having a open day once I get things sorted.

    • Am I correct in assuming that the R35's are getting the classic skyline haircut off the odometer?  Quick search on carsales, there are 33 08 and 09 GTR's for sale, only 2 of them have more then 100,000km's on them (116,075 and 110,000 respectively).  And somehow there are about 25 for sale with around 60,000kms? Looks like the classic skyline haircut to me =/
    • @Stringycheese  Have you only gone to the one blue slip workshop?  There will be a heap of them where ever you live, good odds that the next place you go to will pass the car.  Unfortunately (or fortunately?) every blue slip / engineering workshop will be different and will be happy passing or failing different things - despite working from the same set of rules. It's kinda like 2 lawyers arguing over a piece of legislation, each saying their interpretation is correct. Might seem strange that this happens when it comes to getting a modified car passed, but this is very much a thing. A big part of the game is finding an engineer / workshop that is on the same page as you.
    • Bah. I daily mine. ~60km per work day, 10-12 thousand km per year. What's the point of having a dirty old Datto and leaving it in the shed. It needs to be driven and enjoyed while the govco allows us to do so. It will only be a few years before we're forbidden to even start up internal combustion engines.
    • Judging by that spring perch and the normal looking spring on it - not a coilover. Well.... it is a coilover, just a stock format coilover, rather than what everyone calls a coilover.
    • Yes it is. We get stock from Nismo directly. I'm happy to take photos/video of it as proof before I ship it with timestamps or whathaveyou.
