Hi guys and girls,

I have had quite a few PM's come through asking if the search is still on.

Anyway, yes - the search is still on, i just havent heard anything else from top secret yet.

Hey guys and girls,

Spoke with Garry today, he just wanted to advise me that they will be closing the showroom from the 13th December and re-opening on the 16th of January.

Anyway, thought i'd put an FYI up on here so if you guys have any last minute orders for a car - it would be best to stick them in now!

Garry advised me that he will still be working during the period, just will not physically be in the showroom. He is actually heading overseas and will be visiting Japan aswell - so he will see if he can even personally find a GTR for me while he is there! (Now thats service!!)

Out of curiosity, Garry also sent me through a few pictures of a GTR which top secret imports have just recently purchased for another customer. It is exactly what i want, except for the colour. I have attached the pics to this post for those of you who are interested. Both the interior and exterior look to be in excellent condition. Is anyone on here the lucky new owner!?

Cheers!

Also, just realised I never posted them - but here are a few pics of the exact car I am after.

Bayside blue, vspec, exterior wise - completely stock - if possible, even down to the point where theres no colour coding on the front lip!

Sure, we can sort the little things out (i.e. - if the front lip was colour coded, it probably wouldnt stop me from buying the car!) but in the end, the pics attached are what would paint a perfect search result for me.

Cheers!

Hi KR4GTR,

Good Luck with the Find and hopefully you will find one that belongs to you soon.

I am also currently starting to look around for a GTR 34. I understand that you are looking from Top Secret.

I was wondering if you had came across any of the Z Tune by any chance so far or any V Spec 2 Nur at a decent price?

Please keep us updated if you found anything.

hey mate,

i suggest you give garry a buzz and place an order so he can start looking around in japan for you. He will be able to give you an accurate estimation of cost and start work towards finding a car within your set budget.

say chris sent you! haha i'm sure he'll look after you! :D

cheers!

I am Sorry Peopel ... What I ment by Decent price is around the acceptable range comparing to a same age Ferrari I surpose ...

I am still trying to see what's available out there ... as I have not yet seen any of the Z Tune out for grabs so just asking if anyone saw it?

So ... From the sound of it Iron Chef would be able to source for one under half a Mil ... ^_^

KR4GTR, Thanks for the advise ... like I said I am still in the stage of looking around ... I have waited for years before I can actually say I finally got the Cash sitting in my bank to find the right car since Midnight last night ... Yeah! All my hard work for the past Few years had FINALLY Paid off!

Let us know if you found anything Decent out there ... as I will be buying one to keep forever, I would really like to get a Z Tune there seems to be none around! My second choice is to get one of the V Spec 2 Nur.

I know that Iron Chef (I think Kristian as I was told by my frends) has been busy with all these Import business too is on this Topic, Maybe he can also throwin some suggessions ^_^

I wish everyone on this Topic a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

    • our good friends at nismo make a diff for it, I have one (and a spare housing to put the centre in) on the way. https://www.nismo.co.jp/products/web_catalogue/lsd/mechanical_lsd_v37.html AMS also make a helical one, but I prefer mechanical for track use in 2wd (I do run a quaife in the front, but not rear of the R32)
    • What are we supposed to be seeing in the photo of the steering angle sensor? The outer housing doesn't turn, right? All the action is on the inside. The real test here is whether or not your car has had the steering put back together by a butcher. When the steering is centred (and we're not caring about the wheel too much here, we're talking about the front wheels, parallel, facing front) then you should have an absolutely even number of turns from centre to left lock and centre to right lock. If there is any difference at all then perhaps the thing has been put back together wrongly, either the steering wheel put on one spline (or more!) off, and the alignment bodged to straighteb the wheel, or the opposite where something silly was done underneath and the wheel put back on crooked to compensate. Nut there isn't actually much evidence that you have such a problem anyway. It is something you can easily measure and test for to find out though. My money is still on the HICAS CU not driving the PS solenoid with the proper PWM signal required to lighten the load at lower speed. If it were me, I would be putting either a multimeter or oscilloscope onto the solenoid terminals and taking it for a drive, looking for the voltage to change. The PWM signal is 0v, 12V, 0V, 12v with ...obviously...modulated pulse width. You should see that as an average voltage somewhere between 0V and 12V, and it should vary with speed. An handheld oscilloscope would be the better tool for this, because they are definitely good enough but there's no telling if any cheap shit multimeter that people have lying around are good enough. You can also directly interfere with the solenoid. If you wire up a little voltage divider with variable resistor on it, and hook the PS solenoid direct to 12V through that, you can manually adjust the voltage to the solenoid and you should be able to make it go ligheter and heavier. If you cannot, then the problem is either the solenoid itself dead, or your description of the steering being "tight" (which I have just been assuming you mean "heavy") could be that you have a mechanical problem in the steering and there is heaps of resistance to movement.
    • Little update  I have shimmed the solenoid on the rack today following Keep it Reets video on YouTube. However my steering is still tight. I have this showing on Nisscan, my steering angle sensor was the closest to 0 degrees (I could get it to 0 degrees by small little tweaks, but the angle was way off centre? I can't figure this out for the life of me. I get no faults through Nisscan.
    • The BES920 is like the Toyota Camrys of coffee machines. E61 group head is cool, however the time requirements for home use makes it less desirable. The Toyota Camry coffee machine runs twin boilers and also PID temp control, some say it produces coffees as good as an E61 group head machine.
