OK this is completely as a recommendation in the name of good food, after going there and grabbing a 5kg rib fillet, I can honestly say I’m not getting tired of 400g steaks for dinner, it’s a great cut :(

Basically you go there grab a 5 Star ‘cube roll’ give it to the guys in the butchering section and show them the thickness you want (inch thick please)

Take, home and cook some good quality steak!!! It was finally good to go there after deciding the Meat Warehouse pwns Superbutcher!

They also do packs of duck breast for those that love duck!!!!

we buy the whole fillet 2.5kg...coat in olive oil...roll in cracked pepper and sear and seal on a hot bbq grill for a few mins either side. Then bake in the oven on a low heat for an hour.

sensational!!

I wanted to go there to check it out but when I found out they are playing dirty tactics to run Superbutcher out of town, I refuse to go there on principle.

They have opened up stores next door to every other Superbutcher and guide traffic into their driveway before it gets a couple of doors down.

I'm all for a good cut of meat but that's just nasty. Makes it taste not so good IMO

Ahhh yes my first thoughts as well, BUT....and a big one, the meat is actually better than the 'other' super place and Bedrock (Meat Warehouse) has been running for a VERY VERY long time near the Hyperdome.

They supply all of the top restaurants, Cha Cha Char etc etc in Brisbane such is the quality of meat. They rate the meat to the correct Australian standards, unlike the other place...which uses such grading systems as "export quality" (wtf does that mean???)

To stay close to the original store and where the owner lives, Yatala provided the best location for the size of industrial property they needed. Unfortunately it is near the other place that is run by the 'guy on the adverts' wife, due to legal reasons he's not allowed to run a business for a few years.

I weighed this up

for more flavour i make a few cuts into fillet and poke some thinly sliced garlic into it..

    • I've got a 2011 J50 that I imported six years ago. The unmodified factory AV system date and time has always been correct ( Japanese timezone of course ) up until last month. About two weeks ago, at engine start, the system wished me a happy new year ( in Japanese of course ). I can't think of anything that would make the system think that the date had changed, unless the GPS component has failed/reset somehow ? I checked the GPS reception in the system settings, and it can still see the satellites. Has any other J50 owner had this happen ?  It's no biggie, just annoying that it tells me the wrong date anytime I start the engine. 😅
    • Love following your adventures on IG, hopefully if you're still around in Japan when we visit again wouldn't mind going for a few beers with you (that's if you're keen on hearing how I hate Nissans).
    • ok so if i wanted to go 18's i would go for 8's  in front 30+ or 32+ off set at front and the back 9 would be ok? what offset should i aim for.. then can i do some  hunting for wheel rim choices..    If i get this - will this fit all around: Size: 18 x 8.5 +37 - n what tyres size tyre should i get for front n back?
    • Absolute f*cking nightmare. I had to take breaks constantly, and I was always pissed off when I got home. The line split in Italy on day 2 (we drove from the Netherlands), lol. Driving any narrow European town was... well, sh*t.   Appreciate it man. Here, I'll just drop a favourite from the load I took on Saturday.   I'll update here when things happen with the car, the thing is, with stock power and almost everything chassis-wise taken care of, there really are no problems. 268,000kms now and counting.
    • Ah! I actually managed to snag a lightly used set.... that aren't so suitable for me right now. They don't work on a GTT without some cutting or creative heat moulding. I thought about reselling them myself cause I didn't want to murder them, but it looks like I'm probably going to attempt to murder them/melt them because I may as well. @GTSBoy @PranK can somebody close this thread?
