long story short guys i have a S2 R33 and i have no choice but to replace all the water hoses under the intake plenum. why might you ask.... when my second hand motor was fitted on of the hoses under the plenum didn't have a clamp on it which caused coolant to get sprayed over the the other hose and caused them to turn to utter shite bla bla bla. the problem i am face with now is that to replace the hoses i'm going to have to go genuine but some of the hoses are worth $70+. now i know the rb26 has a complete silicone water/heater hose replacement for around $300, is there such a kit for the 25 are there any other options.... any ideas guys

Thanks

And im pretty sure the GTR "kit" does not count the ones under the plenum etc etc.

For some of them you can just get away with generic hose.

I've replaced a couple under the plenum on my RB20 from years ago, just used cut-pieces of normal rad hose

sorry by generic are you guys referring to hoses with formed bends that you can cut to length. i think this is a pretty important topic as these motors are getting pretty old and these hoses are bound to go pop one day.

Thanks guys i'l post up a picture of what my block look like thanks to a very small coolant leak from one of these hoses.

just a quick note i got my call from Nissan and the cost for 6 hoses is just on 400 and i require another that they are sourcing.

I would imagine that if you search you will find my fairly detailed reply about me doing EXACTLY this about 1 month ago - also linked to NISSAN diagrams with all hoses under the plenum with part numbers. And description of what generic hoses I used.

Generic hose will fit most, but you will need the heater hoses both in and out from Nissan ~$30 each + you will also need a 120° bend of I think 3/8" - this can be cut from a multi-fit at your local Repco (or genuine). The rest is generic - you might want to get the 4-way metal joiner new also, likely to be farked.

I have a lot of these genuine hoses in good condition due to doing a greddy-style plenum swap. If you are interested & can take photos of what you need, PM me with pics. Will check if I have what you need...

Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
