Hey everyone,

As you know, I'm organising an SAU sushi meet!

So here's the details:

What: SAU Sushi Meet

When: Monday 7th of December

Where: J's Surf & Turf - Japanese "All you can eat" Restaurant - 133 Were St, Brighton

Time: The session starts at 7:45pm and finishes at 10ish. But I want to have a pre-meet as well, for a chat or some photos, so I decided to meet at Brighton Beach Gardens (address apox - 31 Esplanade, Brighton (map below)) at 6:45pm. We'll be leaving there at about 7:30pm, to head to the restaurant (only up the road (5-10mins) lol), so we have time to find parking and all. For those who can't make it to the pre-meet, just meet us at the restaurant at 7:45pm.

Cost: It's $28 per head, and you can order whatever you want on their menu (below), however many times you want. Drinks are cheap, soft drinks are $2 per can and I think some Jap beers are $4-5. Along with all the food on their menu, you are also entitled to 1/2 dozen of oysters each. So I'll just order the maximum for us, for those who don't eat raw oysters, I'm sure the person next to you can help you finish them :D

Extra Info: Please let me know here if you can make it asap, so I can count the numbers and make a booking, I have to book 3-4 days prior to the event

if its $28 per head why are there prices next to each menu item?

Because that restaurant is not ONLY all you can eat, you can just go and buy take away. But since WE ARE doing all you can eat, then everything is included.

By the way, that plate of sashimi is $55 and when we went, we went through a couple of those ( 4 people) lol.

Actually train station is 5mins away, i'll just do that. Gonna be fk loads faster @ that time of night.

Long as i can score a lift home easy as, later on not much traffic, 10mins or so from my place.

damn charles after seeing that my dinner suddenly tastes shit lol unfortunately there is a strong possibility of me being at work at that time :'(

LOL oops! :)

Come on man....come down for dinner! Don't you just work up the road? lol

Or like, bring your boss aswell, I'm sure he'd love it and could even gain some brownie points xD

Just wondering charles, Do i have to be a vic member to attend this event?

Also am I aloud to bring my brother (his SV6 > my pintara)

Nah, you don't have to be a SAU Vic member to attend this. It's an open event for anyone.

So you can bring whoever you want I guess, just don't bring a crew of 50 people and take our seats lol.

But yeah, come down if you can, meet some of us and I'm sure you'd have lots of questions to ask, regarding your future car haha.

By the way, when you guys can definately come, then just let me know, so I can get a list going :P

Charles,

Do we need to leave a deposit to you or something like that?

Hey dude, nah you don't lol, you just pay after you finish munching down $100 of food LOL

Also this isn't an official event right? If my mate would like to come along, its ok yeah?

And no, it's not offical SAU Vic event, so yeah, you can bring your mate along :P

I will be down for this, I finish at 6pm in Richmond, so I will just drive straight there.

Give me a good 1hr and 45 mins to get there.

Cool! Shall see you at pre-meet? :P You should be able to get down to Brighton pretty quickly :)

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
