skyguy61
Hey Guys, I'm about to replace my castor bushes and tie rod ends prior to fitting new tyres getting a wheel alignment not bad considering the car is 16yrs old now, there are lots of options in adjustable castor rods but i get the same story none are ADR approved. Does anyone know of a brand that is ADR approved? I'm not to keen on the so called adjustable bush as its limited to only +/- .75 degrees all it is is an offset squash tube and very fiddly to get right. bradsm87
I don't think many ppl adjust the offset bushes but rather put em in at the max caster setting and if nothing's bent, it'll be fine. bigmikespec
Go bushes at max setting, otherwise get rose jointed crap and be prepared to change them when they break. mystery_kid
you own an r32 gtr, since when do you care about what is adr approved? What is the likely hood you're going to get run over the pits and in trouble for something likely that? It's not like it's something obvious straight under the bonnet like a pod filter.. nisskid
no ADR approved brands, but stick with a urethane bush and u should be right (regardless of the adjustability in the rod), afaik rose joints are technically legal if not the grease nipple type, and i have got through with rose joints before, but chances are they will fail u for them still. skyguy61
Thanks Stew,Brad and Michael What i am mainly concerned with is Liability if the rod breaks(adjustable rod) and you have an accident you are liable,I'm not concerned with being defected as i've had this car for 7yrs without once being pulled over for a random check,I've talked to a fellow member and he had his castor crush tube keyed making it adjustable easily.I'd still like the best of both worlds where you have a bush and a an adjustable rod like in the this picture...this part is for a GTR..noone seems to make them for a GTST, Whiteline do a splined crush tube and bolt for $235 a pair way overpriced IMO. What are trying to achieve? more caster for performance? then just use some rose jointed ones. Thats the options.
