Im about to order some rims from japan (streeter)

And i dont know what offsets to get. My 180 has had a 5 stud conversion.

Does any one have some 17x8s and 17x9s that i could test fit to my car and work out offset needs from there???

As im looking for a flush fitment, not sticking out past the gaurds... Sick of getting hasseled..

Any help would be great

offset (the 37) is mm. ie, the mounting face for the wheel sits 37mm towards the outside face of the wheel from the centre line. if the offset is -, then the same is true, but its towards the inside edge of the wheel.

as for how theyd sit on a 33... cant tell ya. lol.

Ahhh thanks for that

Apparently i have 9JJ rims on the rear of my R33 - 17x9JJ, and offset is *grumbles as he walks outside into the heat, and has a look at the sticker on the rims*...17x9.0JJX17 +35, whatever the JJX17 means.

jj is width

et is offset

ok, so mine is effectively saying it is 9.0" in width.

Mine are +35 on the rear and sit a little bit inside the guards, so i would say +37 will either sit flush...or just outside, but don't quote me on that.

^^ increase the number and it will sit inside even more

as a reference 9.0" +12 is a nice GTR offset R33 GTSt are also close in swallowing that size rim too i have drifteks in 8.5 and 9" +35 and both front and rears sit in the guards more so on the fronts which are 8.5"

i run 18x10 + 20 on r33 with rolled guards and lots of camber in 9" id say you would be looking at somewhere between +18 to +25 depending how you want it to look.. id say 9.5" is better option with maybe +20 or 25

forget +37 thats saw blade offset.

as for a 180sx jump over to ns.com they have a 300 page thread will be able to sort it out pretty easily.

Probs is its not as easy as saying, well hes using these offsets so itll fit mine. As ive been told 5 stud conversions can be all different depending on what parts have been used etc... Been told its just easier to try them on but cant from jap

    • Don't even try to run it on the stock ECU if you're going to have the boost controller bring boost above ~10 psi. I've already told you that. If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
