Redline Water Wetter

hey all, as the topic states is redlines water wetter any good. any1 use it... i have a vl with a rb20 in it that runs a touch on the hot side, i read water wetter lowers the temp buy 10-15 degrees so that should be enough to keep the car at perfect temp..

sounds like a bandaid/lie. i'd be looking at why your VL runs hot?

im guessing cause its turbo now... its not overheating but its hotter then i like it.. when it was na itd sit on 3 bars, now it sits just above half

i'm pretty sure Duncan in the NSW sectuion uses it in his race car, i'm sure he would know, he had a box of the stuff...

ive been googleing, all i hear is positve feedback.. buying some tommorow and will throw it... will be put to the test at motorvation

redline water wetter has been excellent for me, and it did reduce my temps from 133o peak back to 121o, so 10-15o cooler sounds right.

Also, running straight distilled water (no coolant) takes another 8-10o out of the temps as well.

Having said all that, this was for full on 20 min race use (and I have other temp problems), I don't think you should have to run this stuff in a road car.....you have some other issue you need to fix.

Also be aware redline water wetter is not anti freeze, so if temps drop under 0 you risk splitting the radiator or cracking the block.

We cracked a block overseas by not running anti-freeze.

edit; No wait it wasnt the block it was the water pump on start up.

i live in perth. the temp never ever gets close to zero degrees, i dont think i will have to worry bout that

Water wetter is good shit. Motul make a similar product called Mo Cool.
