anyone know anyone that can wire up my 4age in my ke70?

the guy that was doing it has now decided that he doesn't feel like doing backyarders anymore and the car needs to be moved asap!

its a pretty simple job... i have the full loom, ecu can go in engine bay, no heater, no aircon, no alarm, no central, no stereo.

just need the lights fixed (flick on and off- common ksev thing) and the motor up and running...

soooo... anyone for some $$$ and some beers?

Nah man, All Drift Modifications (ADM) his name is Dan (Resol) on AE86DC.

Yeah Dan or Shift Rock could do it for you or Adam on SAU, could help you out...

Hahaha Jamie.. How's your car coming along? No 4AGE conversion yet for you? It's a straight bolt in, should do it. :P

I've been lurking around, just don't post much any more because I own a Toyota hahah

Edit: The 32 is gone, well damaged. A lady cut my brother off while he was in it and yeah.. written off.

LOL!

Well you lurked around just at the right time!

Got some MA61 wheels, just waiting on Hamish to give me a price on tyres. LOL!

Got another Carbie as mine was having issues and I swapped it over.

Yeah 4AGE sounds tempting as a friend of mine just found one and he is doing a conversion soon.

I might shop around for 1 and keep it till the time comes to convert it. Hehe!!

He also got a guard roller the he said I can borrow and we do my front guards.

Deafkid on AE86 just bought a Chaser and looks MINT! Manual too!

You fixed yours yet?

You should do the conversion, it's pretty easy. All you really need is the motor converted to rwd and that isn't all that hard either. Get the motor, loom, fuel pumps and a bit of hosing and you'll be running a 4AGE in no time.

The power difference from a 4KC to a 4AGE was huge but going from a 4AC to AG, I don't know..

Yeah, I noticed Deafkid's ride over the jzx forums. Clean series 2 he's got.

My car's all good now. Replaced the turbo on it and it's running like a dream at the moment. Really need to get the rest of the exhaust done though haha, just have a HPI dump/front pipe at the moment onto the standard system.

Edit: Hey Hamish, my brother's up for doing the job for you if you haven't got it sorted already. Do you have all the wiring there ready to be installed or are chunks of the loom missing?

Yeah sounds good man!

4AC (63 kW) to 4AGE Silver Top (120 KW) LOL!

About twice the power for such a light car = HELL YEAH!

Earlier models was about 84 - 97 kW, then Black Top was 118 kW.

Ah sweet, so Chaser is all good, no we need some pics!

Hope you got some deep lip wheels!

Ah you want to go silver/black top 4AGE haha. That'll require a bit more work. Quite a bit more work.

There's nothing special about my car at the moment, no special wheels either :P Not yet anyway..

Imagine a pearl white series 1 Chaser. One that doesn't have the factory aero kit and lowered about an inch all round with R32 wheels on it haha, that's my car.

definately need it sorted still....

the whole loom is there..... can you pls pm me your number?

    • I can get more photos of it here soon and I plan to make a thread detailing the process. I received the car this way and it sorely needs refinishing. That is probably the most appealing photo of it. Up close it is fading, cracked, and needs to be re-glued. Depending on their condition I'm on the fence between refinishing or making a new set.  Another angle hiding the pimples and razor pumps
    • According to this thread the RS4V with build plate RC40 comes with the R200 diff @ 4.083 ratio as well (mine has said RC40 denotation). We may need to check if the axle stubs are the same pattern as well. The auto subframes have longer axles. However I think yours being a later Series 2 as well, we should have the same bolt pattern for the diff stubs. Unless your upgraded rear also has upgraded axles. Either way, I would not be opposed to pulling the covers to check so I can inspect that  fancy rear core  Also I don't have HICAS. I don't believe that should change things but I hope the people here with heaps more experience than me can correct me if I'm wrong   Let me know if you want to attempt to make this work and I can get some pictures of mine from under the car.
    • It's not that straightforward. For example I have had this code because my ignitor/power transistor wires were unplugged. It knows something is wrong but has no idea what it means. If you want to actually diagnose this I recommend following the service manual flowchart for code 21. Ohm out the harness, coilpacks, inspect the ECU, etc. And again, it's entirely possible for there to be no problem at all but if you're running a different coilpack it'll trigger the code because it doesn't like what it sees.
    • If it (the code) wasn't still current, it should have gone away by itself by now. No, nothing it 10/10. But it is quite likely. Everything else to do with the ignition could still be responsible (which is wires and connectors). The car is an old piece of shit now, so all the wires and connectors are also old pieces of shit.
