Right you lot in Adelaide ... I've been looking over Dan's YouTube clips of our past Stagea cruises and its time for another. Last cruise I organised was November 2008, and I'm looking for numbers to put another one together.

What day works best for people? Saturday or Sunday? Route will be a combination of suburbs, hills and country. Expect 2-3 hours including lunch stop. Last cruise got us a record of 25 Stageas ... I want to beat that!

Here are some of Dan's vid clips to motivate you from our past cruises:

Looking roughly 20/21 Feb 2010 or early March 2010. Discuss.

:D

the time has come for another large stag cruise.... Get all the regulars out that take alot of bait to come out of their holes; brendan, ben, craig, andrew ect ect...

Extremely keen.

Sat would be best for me but with plenty of notice ill ditch a Sunday at work.

Sort a date and get adam to send out texts to the 50+sa stagea drivers numbers he has haha

I have been waiting for this moment for a long time, I'm in. Sunday is best for me, late start on a Sunday even better as I finish work around 6am. looking forward to further details emerging :)

I'm still licenseless until mid April. Sorry

Ride shotgun with someone

I might also consider another cruise in mid April if this February/March one goes off :action-smiley-069:

Right, given the responses, I'm thinking of locking in a cruise in early March. Say sunday March 7th, meet 10am for 10.30am departure. Location and cruise route to be advised.

It'll be a nice 2 hours drive with what I have in mind.

Those who are not members of the SAU-SA club, I'll be bringing along some membership forms. Stagea owners more than encouraged to join!

:)

    • Nope, needed to clearance under the bar a little with a heat gun, a 1/2" extension as the "clearancer", and big hammer, I was aware of this from the onset, they fit a 2.0 with this intake no problems, but, the 2.5 is around 15mm taller than a 2.0, so "clearancing" was required  It "just" touched when test fitting, now, I have about 10mm of clearance  You cannot see where it was done, and so far, there's no contact when giving it the beans Happy days
    • It's been a while since I've updated this thread. The last year (and some) has been very hectic. In the second-half of 2024 I took the R34 on a trip through Germany, Italy, France and Switzerland - it was f*cking great. I got a little annoyed with the attention the car was getting around Europe and really didn't drive it that much. I could barely work on the car since I was living in an inner-city apartment (with underground parking). During the trip, the car lost power steering in France - split hose - and I ended up driving around 4,000kms with no power steering.  There were a few Nurburgring trips here and there, but in total the R34 amassed just shy of 7,000kms on European roads. Long story short, I broke up with the reason I was transferred to Europe for and requested to be moved back to Japan. The E90, loved it. It was a sunk cost of around EUR 10,000 and I sold it to a friend for EUR 1,500 just to get rid of it quickly. Trust me, moving countries f*cking sucks and I could not be bothered to be as methodical as I was the first time around.
    • I assume clearances were all a-okay?
