Factory tow hook is fine

easiest way to secure bonnet is to buy a cheap tie down strap at bunnings

wrap though the support and the bonnet hook

will cost u maybe 5-7 dollars

then you sorted and ready to run

marty

What do these tie down straps look like? Large plastic zip tie?, cable with eye attachment?

And with the forward facing glass needing to taped up, Skyline headlights being plastic, do they still need to be taped up?

Cheers

it can be pretty well anything. (not sure if a zip tie will be enough)

but a rope, cable with eye attachment, or if you go into bunnings and ask for a tie down strap they will help you out.

basiclly anything that is not easy to break that can be securly attached

if your lights are plastic then u all good,

M

Just saw this.. if you have a normal bonnet with the lever in the car and the one under the bonnet you already have 2 restraints.

Oh well, i made an extra restraint anyway, looks identical to one pictured above. I figured every car made in the last 30 years would have a secondary restraint from factory, I couldnt understand why an extra one was neccessary....... but done now and ready to go racing!
