I'm thinking of just doing exterior and engine bay. I'm 90% sure it will be ready, I've been told I should get it back tomorrow it's on the dyno as we speak.

Sin it's time to start putting that big build to work! No more 'little turbos'

OK so its on sunday then. Well this changes everything! I'll most certainly be in town, buuuuuuut most likely too hungover to even contemplate getting out of bed, let alone driving somewhere... what time are we meeting?

Well I've pretty much already got everything for that already so don't worry about bringing anything unless you have any microfiber towels, you can never have enough. Oh and if either you or Shell could bring a second bucket that would be good.

I'll see what I've got but I can certainly pick some up. Do we need more rags and things for engine bays? What's the best thing to use on all that manky dirty shit?

If you need me to bring anything else let me know :)

I'll just pick up a few more when I get everything else tomorrow. As for rags, it depends on how you want to clean your engine bay. If you want to take your sweet time and do it the safest way, buy some rags from bunnings or something but the easier and quicker way is with degreaser and a hose (as opposed to getting it off with degreaser and a rag - It tends to push it around a lot). Your average car detailing place uses pressure hoses but they do it while your car is hot. Not great for your block and turbo. I'll be doing mine and Shell's while our cars are warm and then starting them up to help it dry out. Really up to you.

If you know what you're doing I'm happy to follow your lead!

What time is this all kicking off?

Well, I think we should be right, just know there is a small risk.

I think around 1pm or 2pm. We are going to have to meet up at a car wash to get a few things done (damn water restrictions) first though.

Damn it, i have to work all day Saturday now so im not sure when im going to wash my car I dont want to turn up with a dirty near stock Skyline :P

I'd wash it for you if you had a way of getting it to somewhere with a hose.

Sorry guys I'm out (and too lazy to fix numbers).

Rearranged the maybes to the bottom of the list to make it easier to take them off if they drop out.

    • @GTSBoy This method was able to get readings of -10 to -2, so it looks like its monitoring.  Now I need to figure out why the vacuum on the line provided isn't alternating with manifold pressure.  I went with 2 lines that an RB25 tuner recommended but I'll get a longer hose and try directly off the back of the manifold.  He may have been used to OEM intake setups while I have a DBW setup that removed the MAF and IACV.
    • I work at a car detailing and tinting shop called Quark which gets all manner of German cars in usually (mainly due to a contract with Mercedes Benz Kita Osaka, BMW Nishinomiya and others) but every once in a while something special comes in, like a fully restored 1972 HS30 Nissan Fairlady 240ZG... The shop owner had immediately started applying film to the windows as soon as it was in the shop so the interior was completely covered in towels and plastic sheets. But I could get a few photos of the engine bay which was restored like new. Such an amazing car to see in pristine condition in Japan these days.
    • Was going to say the car pulls up nicely everywhere, especially going into that last long right hander before the main straight. Looks like a lot of fun.
    • Hey Dave, welcome aboard! Good to see another soon-to-be Stagea owner here. The wagons are awesome — plenty of space, still got that Skyline DNA, and loads of potential if you’re into mods. Definitely post up pics when you get it, everyone here loves seeing new builds. What model/year are you looking at?
