Just plug it into the OBD2 port and it will turn off with the ignition. :D

WRONG! lol sort of.

its not as simple as just plugging it in. if u plug red to red, the Touch stays on.. if you plug the Red to Orange, it will turn on n off with the ignition. make sure its red n orange.. u dont wanna short something. the orange wire plugs into your ACC power.

i think the ciggarette light is an addition to the non OBD readers..

Scott gave me the heads up before chopping. but yeh it says it in the book in the english part

mmm ... I don't think so ... I have had my Informeter working perfectly in my car for 6 months..

It is just called reading the Instructions.

maybe the later ones are wired different. i should take a copy of the book and upload where it says this

later models???

Back of the book in English it show's you.....you should have additional wiring attached to the plug....just plug and play. Mind you I have done mine different to Andy....I have a switch in between so I can turn it off and on!

This is what my book says, i dont know if its different, not much point in buying two to compare lol

Says Red to Red, may drain the power because instead of turnin off with the ignition, it stays on, and after some time goes into stand by. not really good for your battery.

the image that says red to orange- it will turn off with the ignition. Notice it also says for NISSAN and subaru..

I dont know. ide rather follow the book. plus being a sound engineer, i know what damage power draining can do to battery cells, and units that are sitting in stand by for extensive times.

Craig- your idea of having a switch is pretty good. It would break the circut not draining poower at all..but what would be the reason to turn it off while your driving?

and one other question, My injectors hit 94% yesterday. should i consider bigger injectors? whats a forum for this infor for injectors that fit without plenum raising it(i like the cover so i wanna keep it)

cheers

that's quite high....whats you AFM %?.....should be about 4.8%. You should start looking at doing the whole fuel pump, ECU and injector thingo! It's painful not having a car! :(

Looks like another Emanage install is in order. :)

Any of the 350z injectors will be plug and play. Plenty in the states on fleabay.

lol you really want me to put this emanage in dont you lol

ill have a look on 'fleabay' oh n what size injectors should I get 550cc will be enough? whats the stock?

i didnt take note of the air flow.. ill keep an eye on it driving home from work.. this means calm driving :( .

CRAIG GET A NEW ENGINE IN ALREADY!

n fuel pump? where the bloody hell am i gonna fit that.

The second page of the instructions shows pretty clearly (IMO) that you connect Red - Orange on Nissan ODB cars and do not use the cigarette lighter.

94% injectors, nothing yet.. wait til you hit 100% lol.. You can set an alarm on the Injector so you know when you are in the danger zone. Mine is set at 95%. I usually only see 100% over 7000rpm.

What you need to know is if the AFR's are Ok. Get a Dyno run done to see what sort of tune you have going on.

Cheers

yeh mines connected red - orange. Ok now Im confused about what the debate is on :( lol forget it, it works!

um yeh i have an alarm set for 95% aswell just so i pull my foot off the accelerator lol

hopefully the AFM% is at 4.8+- like craig says. other wise im fecked.

Dyno run? for a AWD? in Melbourne? ill have better luck finding a unicorn than to find someone who wants to do a AWD Dyno for less that $600.00 lol

motor is about a 2 weeks off! :)

Talk to Scott about the dyno when you get a second....wouldn't say you have a problem above 4.8....mine ran at 5.0 for a very long time....and that wasn't what blew my motor!

Hey, if I can get one done in Adelaide for $90 Im sure you can get one done in melbs :( Might be worth asking if the SAU:Vic chapter is planning a dyno day any time soon, good way to get a cheap run in for the sake of checking numbers if you dont wanna spend too much cash on it (SA dyno day was $40 for me (non member), same place would normally charge me $90)

Customs have my informeter, I think.. Bastards.

I pay $50 an hour now, and local... :(

yeh but does that guy still do it? i thought u said he left it n only doing urs.

craig- 2 weeks away is alright, at least this time you'll know to listen to warning signals. lol

Dunc - i'll get scott to help me find one, live 5 minutes from me. Customs? what do they think theres drugs in the plug or something.

Better hurry, he is selling the dyno soon. RE want $100 an hour now, what a rip.

RE's dyno is shit house aswell.. i remember seeing something about it being 20KW out or something.

$100 an hour for a useless company is stupid. i will NEVER take my car there.. a bunch of stuck up twats that dont know anything.

    • Hi 🙋‍♂️. Just bought my Unicorn but the interior need some minor work so it would match my expectations ;). I noticed it is hard to get used oem floor mats in good condition so i started to dig if there's any chance to buy set of new ones. I found two websites - nengun and amayama and it looks like one can still buy factory new floor mats in Japan, but thers a small issue. Some mats (i assume genuine, oem ones) are marked as G4900 and these are "discontinued". The ones you can buy are marked as G4911 but i have no idea if these are also oem, made by other producer or some lower quality replacements that looks entirely different. Can anyone help? 😃  P.s. there is also some strange indication - 0V005, 0V015 and 0V505. Any idea what does it mean? Would appreciate any help with this 🙏
    • Hi, Marek here 🙋‍♂️. I finally fulfilled my longtime dream - recently bought Stagea and now waiting for it to arrive in Poland. There's only few of these in my country, and one of the owners  recommended mi this forum as a source of all the info i'd need since now i own one  so here i am.
    • Version 1 aluminium airbox is.......not acceptable No pics as I "didn't like the look.....alot" Even after all my "CAD", and measurements, the leg near the fusebox just didn't sit right as it ended up about 10mm long and made the angle of the dangle look wrong, the height was a little short as well, meh, I wasn't that confident that Version 1 was going to be an instant winner I might give Version 2 another go, there's plenty of aluminium at work, but, after having in on and off a few times, and laying in the old OEM airbox without the new pod filter and MAF, there may be an option to modify the OEM air box and still use the Autoexe front cover and filter.... maybe This >  Needs to fit in here, but using the panel, and not the pod, the MAF will need to fit in the airbox though> I'm thinking as the old OEM box and Autoexe cover that is sitting in the shed is just sitting around doing nothing, and they are relatively abundant and cheap to replace if I mess it up and need another, it may well fit with some modifications to how the Autoexe brackets mounts to the rad support, and some dremiling to move it get in there, should give me some more room for activities, as I don't want to move the MAF and affect the tune Sealing the hole it requires to stick it in the air box is simple, a tight fit and some pinch weld will seal it up tight  I am calling this a later problem though
    • and it ends up being already priced in as though you're just on 91RON without any ethanol. Car will lose a bit of economy as the short and long term fuel trims bring down the AFR back to stoich or whatever it is for cruise/idle for the engine.
    • Oh, you are right. But, in Australia E10 is based on 91RON fuel and ends up being 94RON. Hence it being the cheaper option for economy cars. The more performance oriented cars go for the 98RON fuel that has no ethanol mixed in. The only step up we have left then at some petrol stations is E85.
