hey guys im ordering a set of xd9s for my gtst

18x9 +30 and 18x10 +38

ive got gtr front guards so i no the front has no problem sticking out

but im just worried that the rears are going to be sticking out of the car

too much...

is 10 inch for a gtst too much?

my other alternative is to get my guards rolled add camber so it look like its stil under the guards

cheers everyone

They wont stick out at all, you'll find that they will both be way inside the guards.

If you get 18x10 +18 for the rear it will be a perfect fit, you will just need the rear guards rolled. As for the front you have GTR guards so im not quiet sure what they will fit?

yeh with gtr guards you'll want +18 on the front but all same size on gtst duno about that..

disclaimer: flame all you want about my weak offset or wrong tyre choices or w/e. i dont mind im jsut giving old mate some info:

i have CR kais, 18x9.5 +38 front and rear. I fit a 275/35 on the back with rolled guards and 2.2degrees neg camber

fronts i have a 10mm spacer cos the spokes didnt clear standard gts-t brakes, tyre is 245/40 with 1.5ish degrees neg camber and no guard mods (gts-t guards). lowered to sit about ~1cm between guard and tyres all round and its just touching the corner of the front tyres, any of a A:very light roll or B:halfa degree of camber or C: a 235tyre would all sort that easy imo.

my 2c

-Sean

edit: just to be bleedingly obvious NO that isnt them in my sig pic :P

Ohh ok sweet  the only

offsets I can get from work is 30 fronts 38 rears

or +18 all round but the + 18 is 2240 with out tires the +30s are 2500 with federals

all round I think I made my mind up :D

that is the most ridiculous thing i think ive ever read..

its cheaper but will look like shit so ill buy it?

give ya a free tip its cheaper cos its no good you get what you pay for remember.. 18x9 +30 on GTR guards is a really bad idea man you'll regret it straight away go +18 just hunt out second hand with tyres if budget is a concern or save up more.. take advice from billy :)

Just to be sure lol but you know what

because of what you guys said I've decided

so ditch the cheap pair and buy the more expensive ones

with the better offsets :)

so now I'm looking at 18x9 +20 , 18x10+18

or

18x10 +18 allround

and I want to be scraping at wheel lock or when I have full load

so I'm leaning towards the 18x9 at the front

does that sound better everyone!!! Lol

now just need help with tires

alr33x dude I'm listing to you lol

ask billy re tyres but i think he runs a 245 on the 10s on the 9s you could go a 225 which isnt much stretch at all, i dont think you would scrub on full lock with the 10s gtr guards are huge my arches only cop a belting cos it sits lowif i raised it 10mm or shaved the inner lip of fibreglass would have no issues

id still say the 10s will be a nicer fit with gtr guards..

    • How much have you lowered?  I had 350Z springs in the rear and was able to pull the camber into factory spec with the factory arms on the rear, obviously the front ran negative camber as it isn't adjustable, but rotating the wheels regularly evened out the wear.
    • Either the installer needs to come back, you need an auto electrician, or you need to learn automotive electricals yourself.   First step Id look at is where that big thing came out of, is there still things unplugged at that location? Maybe they just forgot to put a relay in or something?
    • Well, this is probably where a wiring diagram and a multimeter come into play.
    • I can say to anyone thats doing this; having done a number of R clusters; just be careful if its an unknown cluster.  It takes a bit of force to pull up; but if it feels excessive then its probably stuck. I've had this and pulled the entire hair spring out; and I can tell you; its not easy getting the correct spring replacement with the correct inner diameter and winding. In my case someone had used some sort of adhesive to stick it to the spindle and it pulled the whole spindle out; which the force seperated the hairspring from the spindal and caused it to deform.  You may have to clean it (IPA); or in my case if i'd known i should have used some sort of solvent on it.  Also check out Cruizin Central on eBay. He does all sorts of dials; and you can email him with any custom designs you want. So if you want like certain logos etc...he'll send you a mock of what it will look like then you accept the order and he'll take care of the rest. Fantastic dials and he can do basically any design you want.
    • Have you confirmed its the actual axles? Also the wheel bearings that mount on the hubs to hold the axles wear out. I replaced mine as they got play in them. It sorted my play issue.
