What have you done to make your stag that much more functional and comfortable? This includes custom interiors, stereos, tv /dvd players, sub box installs, nav systems, dash upgrades, steering wheels, guages, bucket seats, alarms etc.

bump for this thread.

Has anyone wedged subs in their inside rear storage boxes?

Some stealth installs would be nice

As for me

Got leather seat covers and momo Stagea wheel (dayz love)

twin single din headunit cd/md ("oh bro why do you have 2 stereos?") Egad.

Recaro seats, full leather and suede retrim (black leather, charcoal suede and double red stitching), incl recolouring of a,band c pillars to match, suede headlining, full Alpine audio with moulded speaker and crossover pods, moulded in avcr and Apexi hand controller in centre console, with RSM moulded into rear of console for rear seat fun. All speaker moulds, centre console trims, window switch surrounds painted in custom gunmetal sparkles, etc....

Will get pics up when I get my car back

Noice. Sounds like you spent up a bit.

These are some good examples I found just to kick it off whilst people are gettn photos.

Some boot shots would be great of custom amp installs etc. Whers the classy M35s?

a manual gearstick :P

and it often has an rb26 in the boot

I have the manual gearstick/rb26 mod: highly recommended! :( Had to also go with the modified S2 maunual console mod, because S1 is WAAAAAY different!

I have seen R32/33/34 seats used but are a fortune to retrim, often more than the seats are worth. I tried a bride brix II but by f**k it was uncomfortable.

Can someone confirm that these seats rails are a fair bit lower? I know they are oem and bolt straight in for C34s. Anyone used 32 gtst or S15 seats?

Yep, Duncan converted his s1 to manual himself, but if you're talking about GTR seats as well, you might be thinking of my car. I bought mine because it was already converted to manual, and a factory RS-Four S was around $28k at that time (October 2005) - that was way over my budget!

Seats from an R32 or R33 do bolt in, Jason. Apparently R34 is slightly different, but I'm not sure if it's the GT/GTt or the GT-R that differs. And yeah, they are heaps lower, even compared with the factory (adjustable) Stagea seats set at their lowest setting. I've also had the rear seats trimmed to match, and the door card centres trimmed as well, but don't have photos of these yet (I've been lazy on that front).

Example:

In the car:

Mearcat clock-replacement pod housing with Defi 60mm BF Boost meter:

DefisintheStagea2.jpg

Home-fabricated meter panel with Defi 52mm Exhaust Temp, Oil Temp and Oil Pressure meters (from left to right). Then there's the Alpine CD/MP3 stereo under those, the Defi meter controller at the bottom, and since then I've also installed a GReddy Profec B Spec-II EBC which sits on top of the Defi controller:

DefisintheStagea1.jpg

Full re-trim in Black (matte) leather, perforated centres, with gunmetal grey stitching to match the centre console trim.

Absoloutely no gauges, dials or doohickies in the interior to keep it strictly business

2 x pairs of alpine Type-R spilts, each running off of a bridged 4 channel amp (1 Alpine, 1 Kenwood.) to feed 150wrms to each pair.

1 x JL Audio 13W7 in a slot ported box, running off of a DLS D1000 monoblock. Still breaking the sub in

Cargo barrier to keep it all tidy.

I still have 5 or so things I want to do to the interior to tighten it up to 100%, including:

- Bride 'Ergo 2' Leather drivers seat.

- Pioneer DEH-P99RS/DEH-P01 headunit.

- Pioneer In-dash TV, fold out.

- Add in 6.5" JL W3 Mid-woofers to complete stereo set-up.

- Trim steering wheel and Gear Knob in the same leather/stitching combo.

- Address A/B/C pillars, cargo barrier and carpet colour. Read: Change all to black ;)

Plenty to go, but it sure as hell feels different from my stockie interior when I bought the car!

:D

Lucky you don't have a manual!

funny stuff. How bout a dancing dildo? Joke over. If you aint got anything constructive to add then please fark off. Post up some pics of your beloved M35s interior or GTFO. As per usual head up your arse syndrome, farkn please people.

oh yeah thanks everyone else.
